Yes, yes, of course, I'm thinking of Mr. Ryan, but the others, too. They're not a very pleasant bunch, and, well, you do pick awfully mean characters, don't you?

I don't see why you couldn't. Everyone is fond of tea- except, I hear, Italians.

Well, there aren't any Italians here. At least, not that I know of.

Yes, perhaps. It's just that, well, most of them know what I do for a living. And might expect something a bit more... revealing.

It is rude to make such assumptions of a lady, no matter what her profession is.

Oh, thank you! I think so too, but they don't. Most people don't.

Unfortunately, most people are quite hasty when it comes to jumping to conclusions.

They are. Do they make assumptions about you, too?

Frequently, though I attempt to encourage them.

Because I do my best to make them.

Not particularly. I don't mind being underestimated.

But I'm sure you're very interesting! And nobody really likes being underestimated.

Being underestimated allows me to accomplish what I need to do. I know that those who are important to me understand who I really am, and that's enough to be satisfied with.
