Remind your mun to be careful with punctuation on the boards. I've only seen people write in regular book prose either first person or third person before. Be sure to read up on how other people style their posts. Do you need a link to the forum?

But yes, Orpheus and Apollo are here. Orpheus, well, he's a nice guy. Let's leave it at that. I don't know much about Apollo but I have a growing suspicion I'm not going to like him much very soon. [Not that I'm biased.]

You're welcome. Tell her it's not a crack against her writing ability at all, it's a style thing. I don't want there to be any reason for them to turn her down when she's gone to the trouble of making such an interesting character to play.

Drugs are things that chemically effect your mind to make you relax but can be very addictive.

By the way, tell me more about you. I'd like to hear more about the pretty face I'm talking to.

Well when you are using first person, which is what we're doing now in the rp section, you typically just type whatever you are saying. Any additions like what you're doing should either be in [ text ] or < i > text < / i > . That's what I've seen so far.

In the log section, which is third person just write how you see in a novel. You can use the italics for thinking there too. Otherwise anything that isn't in quotations is considered thoughts.

I'm an artist. My job and my biggest passion is my tattoo work. I also do sketches and the occasional painting. Blaine on the website who is originally from the Glee fandom is putting together an art exhibit to showcase the different art forms of Bete Noire. I'm planning on helping with that.

Depends. In the rp logs, you don't have to use quotations because it's assumed. Actions should be specified. I haven't noticed others use asterisks but I don't see why you couldn't there. In the log area though, you should actually write out your actions like you would in a book.

Example:

"Hey, Ember." Julian says walking up to her on the street. He brushes his hand through his blond hair as the wind had disheveled it on the walk over. "What are you doing tonight?"

A tattoo is an image imprinted on someone's skin to represent something about them they want to express. It's a permanent thing however, especially if I magically infuse it with some kind of emotion or power. I used to do this all the time in the WOD canon. I would infuse emotions like hope, creativity, etc. However, they have this group of supernatural police that I worry if I do this in Bete Noire I'm going to get in trouble- more so than I already have gotten myself in to.

Ha! There is always something to trip up writers. I have the worst time remembering effect/ affect.

Sure I can do that. Between Prime and Forces, I can make a tattoo withstand the fire and stay when you shift. What sort of image would you like?

Yes, they have police. I don't know too much about the group yet but their called Hellsing. Apparently you aren't supposed to cast magic on other people without their permission. Whistles innocently Not that I've done that.
