On possibly heading to Scorched or Tartarusnet

1 d0 n0t w1$h t0 g0. 1 h4v3 th1ng$ t0 d0.

[and that is that, as far as Azure Kite is concerned, although the AI has a sneaking suspicion that the mun isn't listening. and guess what? he's 100% right.]

I can't even tell you how excited you've just made mine that you're even considering.

That place could use some new blood.

Well, if it isn't the pursuer. I might have suspected one of you would turn up sooner or later.

[Oh dear, you're breaking poor Ovan's heart.]

Isn't it obvious? I came to say hello, it's been a while.

[Details, smetails. Try anything cute and he'll have to cut the other arm off. How would he Data Drain then? With his feet?]

Don't sound so bitter. I cannot help that you insisted on repeatedly interfering with me.

Oh, how is your arm by the way?

[Guess who's still an asshole? He can't have it. It's been regifted to someone already.]

[Pfft. As if growling would affect him in any manner. Have you seen how many times Haseo was capslocking in rage at him?]

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. It was more important to reverse the destructive actions of AIDA before erasing it completely. Had it been enough to simply destroy it, I would have allowed you to do just that.

However, because even Data Drain failed to wake the Lost Ones, I couldn't take that chance. AIDA needed to be eliminated, yes, but the Rebirth had to be the tool to do so. Not you.

[kek]

That is undeniable. Hindsight is always 20/20. However, I did what I thought was necessary and I stand by my decisions regardless of their repercussions, good or ill.

Did you think it would be otherwise? Cruelty for the sake of it is not something I would care to indulge in lightly. There was always a purpose.

[D'awww, warms the cockles of my heart.]

In a sense you are correct; however, it is not often so black and white. There are times when cruelty is unavoidable or even warranted; not to say that the actions when our hand is forced is inconsequential or to be treated with impunity.

Consider it an example of man's ambiguous nature. The governing rules of logic do not always apply when trying to dissect meaning behind the action or inaction of others.

[Don't worry, Ovan logic doesn't translate well to anyone. =T Not that he doesn't purposefully try to be convoluted or anything.]
