You know, mun, I was wondering. This need to always app me from a war, is that because you're European? Mumland is always talking about war here and war there, so I guess it is normal in your place, but you should really look at your choices sometimes.

For example, you could take me from November 28th of this year! Just because you couldn't be there is no reason to take me from a time when I wouldn't even know that the Hobbit will be written one day, much less about the movie. And just imagine, maybe I would meet one of the people from the movies there! I could have a talk with them, from Middle Earth to its inhabitants, you know... [For a moment, the usual good-natured calm is overwhlemed by genuine excitement.]  Just imagine, I could meet Legolas or Gandalf, or one of the dwarves or someone from Lotr, or... Don't you think that would be a much better idea?

[Yes, Kiwi knows that fourthwalling would not be okay, but maybe Ms mun does not, and it is a very convincing reason to not use WWI as a pull point, right...]

And exactly the not being able to tell time is what is troublesome. Have you seen the movies? It would be a shame to forget all of them.

But it's just a punch of movies. I guess I wouldn't miss them if I didn't know they will be made.

You should have seen [Not mumland, not with strangers, though it would be used in a more or less endearing way with family] England the last couple of years whenever someone came to the topic of Harry Potter. Or America with every single one of his superhero movies.
