[ While it's quite uncommon to see the Lord of the Golden Woods anything other than placid; it would seem that the happenings transpiring elsewhere has won his ire. As protective he is of his wife and daughter, it's little wonder why Celeborn is quite passionate now. ]

That lecherous cur has no business speaking with one of her caliber. My daughter's purity mustn't be soiled by someone so crass. 'Tis a wonder why I allowed her union with Lord Elrond to transpire if men of lower class still pursue her so recklessly.

[ A disgruntle sigh. ] Is it truly so foolish of me to be so concerned for her welfare? She is my only daughter, a blessing in the form of a gift by the Valar themselves.

I cannot linger here when perverts and despots alike pine for her beauty.

It's shaped like an infant's coffin. Picked it up off the coast of the Dorset Islands. Viewing it for too long drives people insane only if they don't know what it does. Once you've been told what it does, it just looks like wood and nails to you.

Under no circumstances, though, should you allow anyone to open it. Ever.

A fascinating tool this is. However, I fear this might be too dangerous to be wielded so frivolously against my daughter's suitors.

It wouldn't be the worst thing I've employed to keep my daughter safe. But then again, I have no skills in fighting - science and magic are all I have to use to keep her alive.

I'd say I'm sorry for wielding those powers frivolously, but my daughter wasn't even yet a teenager at the time and the guy had it coming. He's lucky I didn't have access to the dragon I do now or I'd have had him eaten alive. I regret nothing.

You need not find reason to explain yourself to me, fellow father. I do believe we share a similar agreement that these callous fools should mind themselves better when attempting to woo what is sacred to us.

Until my dying breath, I shall utterly refuse to allow my daughter to be sullied by the impure intentions of others.

I'm used to having to explain things to people ever since I brought my daughter back to life with magic. Apparently people think I'm insane after having done that. You'd think they'd forgive me after a few hundred years.

I worry more for my daughter than I should. I know she's safe and in one of the most secure locations on Earth, but she's on my mind constantly.

Nothing will happen to me, I assure you. Naneth and Elrond would never let anything happen to me.

[Especially with how protective they are of her. Sneaky elves and their knowing what will happen to her when she doesn't.]

[ A soft sigh escapes him. ] Your mother shall protect you well. [ He's possesses no confidence in Elrond regarding this matter. None. ]

I suppose I have nothing to fear as long as you have her near.

So long as I have either of them. [Said so very kindly because she noticed his neglect in mentioning Elrond.]

[ NEVAHHH! For you, he shall. ]

...I would suppose so. Lord Elrond of Rivendell is an Elf worthy of praise.

[DAD! Good, let her love on you some more then.]

He is, indeed. I can't understand why you're so resilient to giving him praise or liking him. I'd not give my heart to him if I didn't find him worthy of my love.

While I shall admit I'm hesitant to praise him aloud, I do appreciate Lord Elrond for who he is.

[ An afterthought later. ]

...I simply wish not to forget his flaws.

[ Don't mind him as he gently brushes back her hair, and kisses her forehead. Despite coming across as wrathful as any wraith, Celeborn is still a doting father. ]
