Dear Mundane
It has come to my attention that you are, less then pleased about this whole 'Maritime Union' idea. And after giving it some thought I, Jerry Boyle, have decided that you are right. However, I still think that with a few changes it could work.
Now Jerry, you say. Why are you throwing your weight behind an idea that does not even involve Newfoundland? And to this I say...pah. How can you call this a maritime issue, without involving the great maritime province that is Newfoundland? Impossible.
Which is why I, Jerry Boyle, am founding a new party. The NewfoundBrunswickScotiaIslandLand party. Or, NBSIL for short.
Yes, I believe the time has come to join together, all of the maritime into one super province. A giant super machine as you will. Not dissimilar, to the ones I would draw in my school books as a boy, before the teacher caught me and hit me with a ruler to get back to work.
As to who will lead this party, I modestly throw my hat into the ring. I may have no experience running a province, but I do know a few things about running a bake sale. And was it not a wise man who once said that, provinces are like baked goods? Yes it was. And I agree with the man who makes bread down the street. And this is why, I, Jerry Boyle, am running for leader of this great new party.
So sign up today, and remember, come election time,
If you can mark an X, you're my kind of people!

I am running for leader of a provincial party, not the leadership of our great nation itself.

However, I will leave that decision up to the people of Canada.

[She opens her mouth. She closes it. She considers for a moment.]
...So Maritime politics have come to this in my absence, have they?

[Don't mind him, he's a bit ....Jerry Boyle.]
But you do not have to miss out. Join the NewfoundBrunswickScotiaIslandLand Party and not only will you be able to run for office in your riding. You will get as many of the official, Jerry Boyle NBSIL lawn signs as you need.
[Pulls out an election sign with the Liberal Symbol and names crossed out and written over with "Vote NBSIL" on it.]

Lawn signs are an important part of the political process...
[She strokes her chin and makes a show of being thoughtful.]
But I'm more of a behind the scenes kind of woman. What do you think about... campaign donations?
no subject
So long as they were not stale bagels or rotten vegetables ...we already have a lot of those.
[Don't campaign at grocery stores.]

[Yes, yes, let's throw him to the Ventrue, see how much fun they have...]

Also, it's not that I don't trust people who claim to have rich friends, but the last time they contacted me, a Nigerian Prince stole half of my savings.

O-oh... oh dear, that's...
[C'mon, don't laugh, Natalie, don't laugh....]

And that is why you should never trust royalty, I say.
Though this did get me kicked out of Kings Dry cleaning down the street when I accused him of short changing me, on a bill.
