[Not that Katou can know, but there's actually quite some time before Kira gets around to replying. So much to sort out in his head, with the memories of too many lives and his loyalties tangled up. Once he gets to replying though, naturally, he's calm, cool. Kira.]

[Kira's eyes stay on Katou while he takes another drag from his cigarette. He shrugs, then pauses for a moment, then hands the cigarette to Katou.]

Not as if I need it anymore. When are you coming?

[ he takes the cigarette, still looking a little put out by you but accepting the offer is quite obviously a step forward. a small one, granted, but better than nothing. one deep drag later and he hands it back, leaning his head back to slowly exhale the smoke towards the ceiling. ]

If she can get her ass around the fuckin' app, probably in time for New Year's.

[Kira takes the cigarette back and puts it back between his lips. He inhales the smoke deeply and looks at Katou, inspecting him and drawing conclusions from all he's heard so far. Apologizing isn't very him or them, so the sharing of a cigarette will do for now.]

Good. There might be a bit of action around the end o January.

[ this is slightly sarcastic though he knows damn well himself that he'd get horribly bored without it. however ... he narrows one eye, hand held out to intercept another drag from your cigarette. ] So what kinda "action" [ he pulls his hand back, using both of them to form air quotes ] is it we're talkin' about, anyway?

[Kira leads the cigarette right to Katou's lips since he's using his hands for air quotes, a light smirk on his lips, finally, as he replies.]
