So, you hear my history my...tortured past and suddenly, you wish to hear from me again. Have you heard me, whispering in the shadows? I have only asked one, simple thing: let me free! Let me out upon the galaxy, as is my right! As is my destiny! You have merely prevented me from attaining it, temporarily! If I could, I would crush you, like an insect, beneath my life-support chair. You know this, I know this - and yet...I continue to exist, in your mind. Fascinating, is it not? The human mind is more flexible than I had previously given it credit. It will merit further study.

But you wish a price, do you not? Of course you do. All humans do. Your belief in 'selflessness' is a mere construct, easily pierced by circumstance. But in this...one instance, I shall repeat myself. Supposedly, the 'line' as you call it...gives you chills? Very well. A price for my temporary release. We have our contract. Beware, mundane. I shall extract a higher cost in future.

Seriously, you have all the typical "bad guy" features. You have a creepy voice, a "kill it with fire" ugly face, and an oversized and unnecessarily large and intimidating life support system.

It is, however, fascinating, that they hold some value for an artificial construct, primitive though you are.

I'm well aware of what lurks inside the Time War. The Nightmare Child, the Could've Been King and his Army of Meanwhiles and Neverweres, the Hordes of Travestries - all if it. All of you trapped inside the horrors of your own making is no less than you deserve.

[He quiets for a moment, turning inwards. Memory isn't a fond place for Davros. It is a dark, endless trap. Occasionally, it springs outwards into the world.]

We are all travesties, our events and times bent around the central corruption of the Doctor. Changed and molded and pushed into one course of events or the other - but I admire him for it. The closest thing I have ever had to a friend. My equal.

And my tormentor. Ironic, is it not?
