vvvvoice-testing, oh so tentatively
This is a stupid idea. This is what you pick for a hobby? And all the places you're thinking of putting me are terrible, on top of that. A ship with engines off-limits to me, place where they don't have anything more advanced than generators--if you want a combustion engine mechanic, you want Tom, not me.
Besides, you don't know the first thing about engineering, I don't care how alike you think we are in personality.
...You're really not going to be put off of this, are you?

They're both mixed species. This comment had to happen, I'm sorry.
A-and, um, I'm sorry if that sounds weird. I'm not very good at talking to new people. But try to cheer up. A lot of muns change their mind on where to put you, and you could even end up somewhere with your friends.
Haha, nothing to be sorry for!
Well, then I guess she's got good taste.
But I'm not sure my friends are anywhere out here. Not that I've seen at least.

Um, I'm Iris, by the way. Nice to meet you.

B'Elanna Torres.
ohai~ o/
omg Tom!!!
I had quite a similar reaction to this post 8D
[Cue to the most wounded look in all the Delta Quadrant.] If you missed me all that much you could have just said so.
[... Wounded is just another synonym for smug anyway.]
/mutual glee wahaha~
[You tease, it's lucky she sees right through you.]
What, and have people think I couldn't handle things on my own?

So where are you going?

[Sigh and bother.] Dunno. She 'hasn't decided' yet. None of the possibilities look all that promising though, if you ask me.
Awesome, Klingon :D
Q'plah!
[You gotta problem with that, kid?]
Re: Indeed :D

Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres, Chief Engineer on the USS Voyager. You?
no subject
I am his son, Alexander Rozhenko.
no subject
Alexander's not exactly a traditional Klingon name.

My name derives from my foster parents, Sergey and Helena Rozhenko. They looked after me since my father was too busy with his Starfleet duties. When I was ten years old, I was allowed to come aboard the Enterprise as I wanted to be near to my father. He taught me what it is to be Klingon.

I met my father when I was three years old onboard the Enterprise.

But I suppose if this p'taQ insists on putting me somewhere, I'd rather it be somewhere I'm not having to bang rocks together to get anything done.

And now my mun will bring it up that my situation only threatened the destruction of the ship I was on if I didn't play along.

They're certainly... persuasive. Almost coercive, you could say.

[why, no, someone isn't used to interstellar travel that is slow enough that 'across the galaxy' is more than an annoyance.]

[Belatedly, since she was mentally debating between 'daughter of Miral' and:]
Chief Engineer, USS Voyager.

I am Worf, son of Mogh. Chief of Security aboard the Enterprise.

Right, there's some time travel stuff going on here, or so this girl tells me. Guess I'm from your future?
Oh. Nice kid you've got up there.
no subject
You have met Alexander? How is that possible? No matter. The timelines are strange within this place. May I ask what house you are from?
no subject
I'm... not from any noble house. My mother's name is Miral.
