Before I tag you back, I noticed that you labeled Maximus as the Spaniard in your post – is he disguised by a helmet or is his identity clear to onlookers?]

[ He's contemplative. But when is Maximus anything but? There's no hint of aggression, or even contention when faced with the princeling. He'll tolerate Commodus; always has, since they were young and raised beside each other; Maximus due to the charity of Commodus' father, the Emperor.

He's certain that Commodus will never allow him to forget it. But it doesn't concern him.
