[ His characteristic smirk fades, leaving a scowl in its wake. ]

[ He huffs and turns away. ]

[ Turning to face Shuyin once more, he smiles. ]

[Kefka doesn't respond verbally for the moment, snapping his fingers, and conjuring up Anima - or rather a very convincing illusory version - off to the side.]

One of my favorite pieces of work, really. All those chains and spikes digging into her flesh for all eternity... ah.... her screams were exquisite.

You know, she could've lived. Not like your being a summoner would've changed anything in the end. But no, you were too weak. You watched your mother give her life so you could acquire the power to stop a genocidal monster. And what did you do?

You ran. You gave into your faster than a skittish Chocobo. And to think, if you hadn't wanted to be a summoner, she'd have lived.

[ His eyes linger upon the image briefly before turning away. The Maester is quick to put some distance between him and this foul jester. ]

Speak not your lies for I refuse to hear them.

[ He may seem all calm and collected now, but Seymour's patience is waning. In truth, he's grateful that Kefka couldn't hear the racing of his heart. ]
