Why are you surprised? You knew that story would focus on me. It's only natural that it would mention what happened to my parents eventually.

Well, I admit it was mentioned very early on. Still, it's not exactly unexpected.
...But that's not the kind of reveal you've been waiting for, is it?

They're only at the first act of this game, so they won't reach that point for a while. Just try to be patient until then, mundane-san.
[He'll be waiting to see how much that story will differ from his own as well, anyway. Since it's an IF story... maybe things will turn out differently there. Although certain facts still aren't going to change, he supposes...]
