And we'll all be together. All three of us. So we're both lucky. It's better than going into that hell hole alone.

[automechanic]

I don't know what your definition is, but that was definitely whining.

[But then he's being comforting and it's hard to fight with him when he says kind things like that.]

You're right Ed. Besides you need me to look after the two of you.

[hermetics]

[ He'll ignore that first half because hey, it's better to focus on the nice parts right now. But there was definitely some eye twitching at it all the same. ]

And you definitely owe Al an apple pie. He was always talking about how when he got his body back, the first thing he was going to do was eat your pie.

[automechanic]

Right. [She gives a firm nod at that, tightening her hand into a fist of determination. She won't get upset over this, she won't.]

So it's settled then. We'll show up and I will make that pie. No matter what happens there, I will plan on making that pie.

[hermetics]

[ He smiles, nodding. Al with his body back, the three of them together... It's almost like the perfect ending he wanted at home. Though he knows he'll have the worries of everything on his shoulders and... well, he's still half automail. ]

I bet that'll make him real happy. At least he'll finally shut up about it.

[automechanic]

[She gives another nod, offering a smile. After a moment though she looks slightly unsure.]

Yeah, Winry?

[automechanic]

[She looks like she has quite a lot on her mind, trying to figure out how to say the things she wants to. "It'll be okay right?" "What about the whole...sex thing?" All the questions, and her concerns and worries. ]

Eh. Nevermind. [She forces a grin.] It wasn't anything important.

[hermetics]

Huh? [ He could tell there was more there. He's pretty sure he knows what, too. It doesn't take a genius to guess. But still. ] You sure?

[automechanic]

[Caught, she should have expected that to happen, oh well, she won't go into it. Besides, not like Ed will ever push the truth from her. She waves her hands, almost a bit hyper in an attempt to cover it.]

Of course! I mean it's just some stupid island right? We've all been in worse situations. Nothing to worry about at all! [You believe her, right?]

[hermetics]

[ He stares at her for a moment, wanting to reassure her, to let her know that he would keep her safe. No matter what, he wouldn't let her die. But still, he knows what that could imply, too, and he feels his cheeks burn a little, quickly clearing his throat to stop thinking about it. ]

[automechanic]

I do. It's fine, Ed, really.

[She looks down, ugh this is all so much to think about.]

[ He's not really sure how to handle that thanks. So instead, he brushes it off with some lighthearted teasing, waving his hand. ]

What are you thanking me for? Not like I did anything. And you say I'm the weird one.

[automechanic]

[Which is exactly what she is thankful for. He knows just how to handle it. Playful is better.]

[ And this is exactly as it should be. He smiles, not even trying to look remotely disgruntled by that. ]
