On a new muse and a pretty good fic that the mun just read

Dearest Mundane,

I must thank you for showing me irrefutable proof that your much esteemed and respectable newest muse would be the world's only hope against the wicked Team Aqua should our Lord Groudon disappear and my beloved Maxie be rendered powerless as the result of a cruel twist of fate.

He seems to me, however, a very taciturn and aloof individual. If only he spared a few moments to talk to me, I think--

Nobunaga has no time to waste with viscid worms watching idly from the ground, merely waiting to be consumed by the great men soaring above them on the wings of their ambitions.

Ah! That was very eloquent just now. I... I thought so, Lord Nobunaga. I'll... leave you alone, then. ... Was that a compliment for my Maxie?

[There is so much side-eying going on here, you have no idea. These are two very strange dudes, okay.]

Weren't both, Team Aqua and Team Magma trying to take over Hoenn a few years back, though? I've only ever heard the stories, but it doesn't seem to me like either of them were in the right. [This is said to Weird Dude #1.]

Besides. Too much ambition can have a blinding effect and turn even good intentions into something destructive. [And this is more like an afterthought and her own experience with Team Galactic, but. Weird Dude #2 might be pinged.]

I agree that Team Aqua had to be stopped, just like Team Magma also did. The world is full of different living beings with different needs; that's why both landmass and oceans are equally important.

What else but destruction can do away with the stale remains of an age of stagnating darkness?

[... well, aren't you a little ray of sunshine. :| She's heard that speech before, man, it's all old news.]

I don't think the world is such a dark place at all. It might be far from ideal, but there is certainly plenty in it to make it worth fighting for. Everything else can be fixed.

[... No, it's not!] You misunderstand. The world is no dark place, and the beauty and power of the life it contains never cease to amaze Nobunaga. I stand against what impedes life. What keeps us from moving ever forward.
