Well, years ago, a little before your parents adopted you, I attacked a large city. The Avengers came to stop me, and they did a very fine job of it. The battle ended, but your dad and I were trapped under some debris. He was perfectly fine and could have gotten out on his own, but I was injured and could not use my magic. I probably would have died, for my wounds were grave and I was very tired. He stayed and took care of me until the rest of the Avengers came, then he convinced them to let me go, even though we were enemies at that time.
