Heh. That's not really giving me confidence in our team. If my ears scare them, I'd like to see them meet a metal head. I'll fight off whatever we find, but they have to keep up---and they'd better not freak out.

Oh, and do you think you'll let me find a gun out there? Anything to even the odds would be great.

Yeah. I'm hearing it's cold enough that we might need some.

I don't want anything bulky, I need to move around to fight, but a blanket for an emergency would help.

We're not staying out too long. The radiation will kill us, right?

I figure the cold'll stop us first. I just want to know what's out there, it'll help me feel a bit better about being stuck out in the woods.

Yes, I suppose so, and yet I fail to see why. It is not as if I've lost my mental faculties and gone swinging around that sword I carry. I just had the negotiable luck to have my armor and my sword with me.

Considering the circumstances, I prefer that they are there!

But hey, intimidation's not all bad. Not if we run into trouble out there.

We must make do with what we have, sometimes. Had I not my sword, my fists would do, because I doubt using my magick would make anyone more comfortable with me.

And from what I understand, it no longer works when we're outside, anyway.

I guess they've never seen it before. Everyone else here has these little round flaps.

I think a lot of us do.

But, sort of. He tried getting me into a couple of games but some of them didn't work out. And when they did he thought the settings...weren't really for me. I think he's settled though now.

I'm just in one place. No sign of anyone I knew, and the others think I'm a freak, but that's the same as always.

At least I'm not fighting the law this time.

I never saw ears like yours until I left my world either. But almost everyone else out here looks like you.

Well, there's lots of different lands out there, so I guess looking different isn't hard to believe. I've seen in comic books though that there are people with pointy ears and stuff.
