A small issues before hopefully going to
scorched
Admittedly, you seem to enjoy playing me and I do look forward to the chance to see familiar faces again, but there's one thing I think you need to consider before you send me in without my wand.
1. There's at least one person in the city who would likely want nothing more than to see me dead again.
2. see one
3. see two.
Aside from that though, I have no complaints as of yet, so we'll see how it goes.

It certainly was such for my own.

I can't imagine how someone could take such pleasure in the kind of torture they seem to enjoy inflicting.
no subject
I couldn't say.
There are benefits for us, of course. Immortality, of a sort. The opportunity to see those we have lost.
[Case in point.]
We needn't hide what we are there. The Muggles know about our kind.

[ Although the two she'd want to see most....well]

Well, then.
Back to the matter of Bellatrix.]
Her ire is usually directed towards her niece.
[Though if he continues to taunt her about her duelling skill, that might change.]
If you leave her be and do not invite her wrath, you may escape her notice.

I'd prefer she never even know I was there, if that's even possible.

At best, you would have two months to prepare.
Bear in mind, of course, that vengeance your "role in certain events" is likely not nearly so high on her list of priorities as mine or Hermione Granger's - or Lucius Malfoy's, for that matter. After all, you have already paid your due.

Of course, I won't know anything of the sort when I actually arrive, but I imagine that won't be an issue for long. The lack of a wand bothers me whether she's there or not, in any case.
no subject
As to the wand, we shall see about a replacement. No one has gone wandless for long.
no subject
I appreciate that, Severus.

[Somehow, he suspects that was more intended in his own direction, but he'll just. Not. Rise to the occasion.
With an aggrieved sigh:]
There are more pressing and imminent dangers than those presented by either Bellatrix or Lucius. We -
[We, now? When did Anatole and the Scorched become a 'we' thing?]
The city was recently invaded.

Invaded by?

[Obviously.
In other words: his mundane has already forgotten because she was semi-hiatused throughout the event.]

I see.

Clinic.
To defend.
no subject
That's good to know.

Particularly when it became necessary to pay rent.

Have you never been to a clinic?
no subject
I just wasn't aware that you were skilled in the healing arts to that degree, potions yes, but you never seemed all that interested in the medical side of things.
no subject
Why would you find such a thing surprising? Would it not be your own choice to defend those in need?
no subject
So the clinic is not yours?
