A brave, fearless leader, huh? [She chuckles softly...pondering this.]
Perhaps...when I have such a reason to be...First being on the run from the Queen...a wanted criminal. [She shook her head as she remembered all that she'd gone through...how unfair the Queen was to her.] ..And now I'm separated from some of the people that I love the most. [Despair was apparent in her eyes...but there was a glimmer of hope there that hadn't yet left. It wouldn't leave.] I must find a way to get back to my husband and my grandson...somehow. Being "brave" isn't an option at this point..Really, for me, it never was.

Do I miss them, mun?
[She glances over with an awestruck expression...dumbfounded that such a question could even be sensibly asked.] Of course I miss them. Every time I fall asleep, I wish that I could see them in my dreams. But as always, horrible nightmares take their place...

A horse? How wonderful! You couldn't have a better teacher than your grandpa. Maybe by then, you can teach your mom a thing or two? [She winks at him. His cheeriness obviously having rubbed off on her.]

We're one step closer to getting home. We just need to get the dust from Cora, and then we'll be back home with Henry and David. [Oops, reflexes.]

That was a pretty stupid question on your mun's part. We wouldn't be trying so hard to get back if that weren't the case.

Emma! -soft laugh- I didn't notice you standing there.

[She turns, surprised to find that Emma had been listening in the entire time. She smiles apologetically...giving Emma a "You know I love you." look.]

You're right, Emma...and we're not about to give up now. We will return. Together. [She shot Emma a piercing glance...her motherly side remembering Emma's last stunt. She had had the best intentions...But how dare she instruct Mulan to-...She took a deep breath. Emma was safe now, and that's all that mattered.]

(Silly mun and her pointless questions. :P)

I know! [She shakes her head, still in disbelief at the question.] I miss them more than anything...[She gazes downward...obvious hints of sadness and longing in her eyes.]

[Emma couldn't help but feel her stomach turn a little at Snow's look towards her. She was looking out for her! But she understood. Getting home together was the goal, and from now on, that's how they were going to work things out.]

Yes, together. Just like we planned.

[She was still a little uneasy about the whole hugging thing. She surprised herself when she initiated the hug when she'd fallen from the bean stalk. But she did approaching her mother, pulling her into a soft embrace.]

I miss them too. But we have to keep going. I don't doubt for a moment that they're not looking for a way to find us, so that's all the more reason we have to get the dust.

[a warm smile lit up her face...she liked the sound of that more and more every time she heard it.]

[Her breath caught as Emma reached toward her for a hug, but it was a welcome surprise. She gently hugged her daughter back, feeling a tinge of sadness...reminiscing- wishing once again that it could have always been this way. That they could have grown up together as a family. She quickly wiped away a stray tear and regained her composure before again facing Emma.]

[She had to control herself. Emma was already stressed enough as it was.]

Charming is not one to give up when he starts after something...and you know Henry. [She laughed heartily, hoping to lighten the mood.]

I know. we will get that dust..But I do worry about Hook...he'll form an alliance with whomever can give him the biggest payout. Whether that be us or Cora. [She grimaced. He disgusted her so much.]

[Emma gave Snow a little half smile, almost completely oblivious to the tear she had shed. Almost. But she wouldn't bring it up.

No, instead she'd focus on her mention of Charming and Henry. Something to keep from the dreariness that seemed to follow their lives.]

Seems like he's gotten that from his grandfather. Remember how dead set he was on trying to get me to believe that any of this was real?

Knowing him, he's going head first into anything that could possibly help us get home.

[That alone worried her. He was only 10 years old after all. His determination alone was enough to get him into trouble sometimes. She only hoped that Henry would have enough common sense to talk to Charming before he tried anything ridiculous.]

[She laughed. This time, a genuinely happy smile finally appeared as she thought about them.]

Who could forget? [She smiled fondly as she thought about the ways that Henry and his grandfather were alike.] Any other kid would've finally considered it a lost cause and given up. After all, it wasn't just you that didn't believe him. It was everyone. He's got a lot of heart and determination for such a young kid..that's definitely his grandfather coming out in him.

[That smile hadn't left her face.] That's our Henry... [Apparently, she and Emma were thinking the exact same thing.] I just hope Charming is keeping him from doing anything dangerous...heck, Maybe it's the other way around.. [She laughed at the thought.]

[She thought for a moment. The curse had taken a toll on him. -on all of them.]

[Red felt a little guilty for the potion, still. She should never have directed Snow to Rumpelstiltskin, no matter what the woman said. She hadn't forgiven him, either, for his part in that.]

[She chuckled softly, jokingly thinking to herself. If Charming didn't keep the town properly in check, she felt certain that Granny would.- Her thoughts then became more serious. In the back of her mind, she couldn't help but think that Granny was keeping that crossbow by her side for protection..just incase..- her brow furrowed. She didn't want to think about it.]

[She offered Ruby a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.] I know things are confusing now.. believe me. For me, this whole transition from being cursed, to remembering my previous life has been so strange. [For a slight moment, she thought about some of the things that she had done while cursed that she obviously would have never done normally...Whale. She shuddered.] And the fact that we didn't return to our homes after the curse was broken? Anyone's guess is as good as mine.

(OOC: I love FTL. But Storybrooke would be cool too. :) I'm open to anything really. I'd love to RP as Mary Margaret sometime. Her personality is so different from Snow's. Whatever everyone else is up for! I wish there was a strictly Once Upon a Time RP community on dreamwidth. :C)

[She smiled back; a distinctly similar expression on her own face. Ruby was right. She tried to shake off some of the concerns from her own mind. After all, no matter how hard it was to shut out the worry, it wouldn't get them anywhere. Moving forward was the only sensible option.]

[She half-smiled, nodding in agreement.] Just like we always have. [She was determined to find answers, and she felt sure that everyone in Storybrook felt the same.]

I've decided to do my best to stop dwelling on the things that are out of my control, and focus all of my energy on finding a way to get home. [She smiled.] The sooner, the better. I can't go much longer separated from my family. [There was a distinct determination in her voice.]

[This thought was strangely more comforting coming from Red than it was when she had first brought it up in her own mind. Her determination was as strong as ever now... Red had taught her much of what she knew of traversing the woods, learning terrain...staying on her guard. They truly were the perfect team. She and her friend both had the same objective, and they would not fail at achieving it. They would get home.]
