if you've seen his intro, then you're spoiler free
Bit of a traditionalist, then? [A slow grin, and that might be laughter under his breath] I can work with that.
Fanatical, am I? I suppose I can be a bit...single-minded, but it hardly helps matters when you broaden my end of the bargain, oh so sweetly.
[Seemingly, he changes tracks of conversation, glances at the hook attached to his hand with thought] In a manner, I should be grateful. I've discovered all sorts of uses for my new appendage. It certainly makes sneak attacks a lot easier. It's also quite useful for carving.
I need to dig out hearts the old fashioned way. And you've been so kind as to all but toss a pretty little librarian into my lap.
[He can't turn it into dust either, but he can mail it off in a little box. It has a certain dramatic flair he can appreciate. His jovial attitude darkens]
I was just going to kill him, but...I was meant to suffer as he did. And since he has truly felt no such suffering; she was no more than property, a bit of wounded pride to him...I'll have to give it to him.
And once the full realization of all that he's lost crosses his face... [He laughs] Well, then I'm going to kill him. So long as you're more of a help than a hindrance, darling, we'll get along famously.

Because you can fall back on them to aid you? [Given the stunt that Emma has pulled...?] Don't count on it, Princess. If they can leave you in the dust, they will.
If you aren't brave on your own merit, you're really nothing at all.
[Aurora pls, you have got to work on that]

Because I know that I can count on them to bolster me up should I fall short. (Her words are clipped as traces of that anger seep back into her tone. Maybe she distrusted them at first, but she was actually starting to like them. And, after all, Emma's little trick only really hurt one of them) Maybe I'm not as brave as a pirate intending to kill an innocent, but it's something.
(But....but...love! And....love! Ok, yeah. She really needs to work on it)

[If anything her anger amuses him, he leans a little closer and lowers his voice. His eyebrows are arched in innocent disbelief] Do you really think that if it came down to saving you, or returning to their realm, that they would bother with you?
That, Princess, has nothing to do with bravery. It's nothing more than a score to settle.
[Alright, it's more than that. But she doesn't need to know that. We've got to find her a little hoppy therapist, stat]

Do you really think that I would want them to? Even you wouldn't do anything differently. (It's the most confident she's sounded since the conversation began) If our roles were reversed, I would stop at nothing to return to where I belonged. I refuse to be the reason they're unable to go home.
(Maybe in a less insect-like form, because EW BUGS. Not that she would ever admit that out loud) The score should be settled with the man himself, not with those foolish enough to be acquainted with him.

Which meant it was in his best interests to help them return home, so that he could tag along] I think you're eager to prove yourself, or to catch a quicker end than need be.
Lacking in self preservation, that hardly begets selflessness.
[He snorts, darling, that's just silly] It is. It's more than a fair trade.

Either way, if she was going to have to die for this, she wanted it to be on her own terms) It wasn't a question of self-preservation, but of logic. Why should they risk their lives when they have something to return to? (What? Is that...a trace of bitterness creeping into her tone? Maybe just a little)
Fair to who? Whatever this crocodile of yours did, she was surely not a part of.
