brand new character, in the process of being created for a LARP

This should be a lark. A trial-run. My first tottering steps into the moonlight... sooo much to do.

We can bother about all the fluff like skills and backstory details later. You've already got the basic gist. Laid-back, harmless ne'er-do-well, et cetera. One of the first things you should really probably find out is with what task exactly my sire is releasing me into Chicago.

[Expectant pause. He's waiting.

.....oh.

Well, don't ask me.

[The thought mage, Jace Beleren, reaches with his mind into that of Franklyn Smiles and gleans what he can about the context of the muse's situation. There are empty spots here and there, but Franklyn's world reminds Jace of Innistrad, a gothic plane he has recently visited, and he feels this is enough to go on.]

It seems to me that your mundane's best move to make now, is deciding what sort of person your sire should be. Rational or psychotic? Ancient or neophyte? Male or female? Once that's decided, then the task of sorting out your role in the game ought to be simple.

Ah, Chicago! I have a few colleagues there, I'm sure you'll meet some of them. Wonderful city. There are a great many things one could be doing there! It merely depends on where one's interests lie. Or, I suppose, where one's sire's interests lie, if that is your situation! What might those interests be, young sir?
