No doubt it involves magic, the payment for and procurement thereof. But what do you have of value without being able to roam as you please? [ not even judging. seriously what do you do for a living. ]

I don't need to roam to find things of value. All I have to do is find a way to power the portal. That doesn't have to mean the magic I've known.
