Oh, Bianca...

Miss Muuuun! Come on, don't look at me like that! You know I would never do such a thing to poor Nate. I can't stand against the game AI, now can I? Besides, weren't you just squealing about happy you are about having me as tag partner? Ah, thank you for that.

...by the way, I think you should already get out of Reversal Mountain. I'm very flattered that you like chatting and battling by my side, really! But the high temperatures of the magma could have some bad effects on your team's health if you stay inside for too long. Especially your Leafon, he's a Grass-type and he can't-

[Isn't she cute when she gets all nerdy?]

Aaaah, Miss Mun! Don't say those things!
freakymayor: My son's behaviour weirds me out. Where does he get it from? (Say WHAT?)

Couldn't understand the thing you were referring to. It was very...Japanese.

Hello again, Bianca.

[personal profile] creative_lovebug 2012-10-30 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, my bugs and myself are doing just fine, Bianca. Thank you for asking.

My player's complained about the same sort of thing happening when accompanying me in Pinwheel Forest. It's not as if she couldn't find more Scolipede or Slaking if she really wanted to. [Thankfully it was... nothing as bad as that killing a shiny.]

Funny, mine complains about Hugh, but not from the perspective of double battling. I guess she found his interruptions in certain cities a bit too distracting. [unless there was a shiny rattata or zubat there, no one cares]

[sob, even if he's matured a bit over two years, he still does pride himself on Pokemon battling. That will never change ever.]

Well, it's only natural. It's the job of a Gym Leader to provide a challenge to any Trainer that wants a battle.

[Shiny Crobat is cool, I like Crobats.]
stoutland: (Frustration)

[personal profile] stoutland 2012-10-30 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[details. and it's not like zubat is hard to catch]

Well, I can see that, too. Even you were available for more battles than Hugh was. Hugh seems to enjoy double battles too much. [since how many of his battles are teaming up with him? and oops he's going to want to know about that]

Out of curiosity, what about me as a gym leader?

[personal profile] stoutland 2012-10-30 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[well okay he can deal with that, too. That's arguably better than having more battles, too. And okay he was kind of expecting that. But it's his job okay, he's a teacher and a gym leader.]

I suppose that's understandable. But it would have been unfair for me to use my stronger teams against what the game considers a new Trainer. [that's his excuse, deal with it.]

At least Static is more random than simply choosing a Fighting-type attack on a Fighting-type Pokemon. Though I suppose I should be proud that younger Trainers are figuring out that sort of strategy in the first place. It shows they're learning, at the very least.

Which is the point of having Gym Leaders in the first place. My own had no trouble with Roxie, either, despite Challenge Mode, if only because she decided playing through the game with only Psychic-types was a good idea.

[personal profile] stoutland 2012-10-31 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
She hasn't had as much time to play as she might have preferred, but she's been doing well enough. There are enough dual-type Psychics and Psychics with varied movepools to make it less difficult.

[personal profile] stoutland 2012-11-01 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
That's one of the things she's most pleased about, as odd as it might be. There's far too many medals that she's sure she won't be able to collect, so rather than display the final medal, she thinks it would be just as impressive to have the Psychic-type medal displayed on her Trainer Card instead.

That seems like a rather cheap way to win, if you ask me. Legendary Pokemon really can't compare to nonlegendaries in terms of stat distribution, movepools, and things of that nature.

A lot of them require too many interactions that are simply impossible to get if you don't live in a large city or somewhere there are loads of other people that would play with you. Mine would be the same, though. She's one to try and get as complete a Trainer Card as she can.

She's still playing Gen 3 games at the moment? [Why play gen 3 when you can play gen 5? And plus, you can complete a Pokedex there.]

Mine was glad that was allowed, as well. She's not the biggest fan of musicals, so it was a relief that she didn't have to go re-collect everything in the new games.

Perhaps because they don't involve battling or any real challenge like the older variations of Contests used to. [he has no interest because not battles, oops.]

[No never]

I'd imagine many of them are rather straightforward. It doesn't take too long to guess that a top hat and cape are considered 'elegant,' but a pink bow and other frilly ribbons would probably fall under 'cute.'
stoutland: (Entrainment)

[personal profile] stoutland 2012-11-05 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[he's going to be focusing on the most important part here, that being--]

How is a frilly apron considered 'elegant'?
stoutland: (Disable)

[personal profile] stoutland 2012-11-05 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't see how maids are considered very elegant, but that could just be my opinion.

[he does not understand you, Bianca...]

I guess so. Personally, I don't think it fits in with things like top hats and canes, but it's not like I made the rules.
