I can only see this ending badly.
There's enough of them running around to keep me busy. At least find me somewhere to be active. I don't do well just sitting around. Especially not these days.

[She makes a sour face.]
You can always come torment me whenever you want.

Oh but how tempting that is. I just am betting our definitions of torment aren't the same.

As for your extremes, I don't feel the desire to mention them aloud.

Peter likes to make light jokes about my extremes. Though, I don't think he actually finds humor in them.

Hey, you were the one that brought it up. Besides, as long as she still steals condoms, she's going to be puppy free.

Apparently she thinks having another hunter around is a good idea, but since I can't touch the werewolves, I apparently get to sit around and babysit, instead. Still. Seems to think people would be real excited to see you there.
Can't imagine that pack of teenage wolves really will, but what do I know. I'm just a guy who's hunted monsters all his life.

Wait, why can't you touch them? You mean so long as they don't do anything harmful, right? Do I even want to touch the comment bout babysitting them?
Oh I'm sure they'd hate it. Especially McCall. That really makes it a positive in my book.

And my roommate is a kid as well, not of the same batch, but well.
Let's just say I am feeling a bit out-numbered on the age ratio of the people I'm likely to be having to spend my time around.
So you're a hunter, too, right? At least that was the idea I'd been given. The one pulling the strings over here seems to think we'd have some interesting conversations. Personally, I'd advise you to run before your own puppeteer decides to join the fun. This island is a handful. Not that I'd begrudge having someone else around who gets what is going on, on the supernatural side of things.

Of course they think it's fun. Media and stories make it entertaining and pretend like they're not monsters.
Average age is a bit below the drinking age, is it? I could see where that could be nerve wracking.
I am. Family history in it. If you know a bit about hunting and how things aren't the way society paints them, I suspect we could. The one on this side is curious though. Apparently they'd peeked at the island before but hadn't read all the details.

I've never really been the watch and wait type, either, but they're just kids. And not like the werewolves I am used to. Still, a lot of that is the mundane behind me, I think. Holding me back just a bit more than I'm used to, and I don't like it.
Someone should really make them understand this isn't some corny sci-fi romance novel. Next thing you know they will be falling for a bloodsucking murderer because they think the vampires might think twice before turning them into a walking mini-bar buffet.
The island itself is a bitch. Freaky shit happens there, apparently one to three times a month. Not to mention there is a dangerous cocktail of creatures living there that none of the population seems to realize is as dangerous as they are. We're talking demons, werewolves, vampires, witches, forest spirits. It's a crazy supernatural gumbo.

I can see that. Mine keeps informing me about the ways she expects to stop me, though I don't see the point of putting me anywhere that involves the things I hunt and not letting me do so.
Exactly! How is it that werewolves are romanticized to begin with, nonetheless walking corpses? Never made sense to me.
All of that and your mun has your hands tied as it were? Sounds like it could use more than another hunter or two, and a cut in the population.
I don't like my mundane finds this conversation funny.

I guess we would at least never really be bored, but yeah. Tell you what, they force you in here, guarantee I'll be one to buy you a drink. Though, the good bar in town happens to be run by one of those very same walking corpses. Some vampire named Conrad who my mun claims only drinks from blood bags.
Yeah. I've never heard that line before.
It's unfortunate my own mun is finding this whole thing way too amusing for my comfort. But that's about the set of things. Lots of things we should be killing and not a lot of willingness to let us do so. She's worse than my brother used to be about all this in his fluffy hearts phase.

Blood bags that come from where? Even if they get them from volunteers or the dead, isn't that just lowering the needed supplies? There's never a victimless feeding with those beasts.
I've been warned their entire goal is torment and torture. I'm beginning to believe it.

My mun wants to point out

Why do I not find that reassuring. I mean, why wouldn't I? You and McCall. Alone. On an island. What doesn't strike you as reassuring in that?

[We'll leave out the part that Derek's there too. And that other things happen.]

The humor doesn't make it less comforting.

Your kid's right. There's nothing to hunt on that island.

I saw nothing.

But if you think all weres are psychopaths, then you're no better than the small-minded jackoffs who go around killing innocent supes where I come from. Guess your kind exist in Scott and Derek's world, too.
no subject
[He paused, that second name just hitting him.]
Right. Hale's there too. Allison conveniently didn't mention that. Not surprising.
I'm a small-minded jackoff with a code. I don't kill anyone innocent. Surprisingly? I meet very few wolves who are innocent. I can count them on one hand and far as I'm concerned? They begin and end with McCall.
As for what I think all shifters are? I think they are creatures melded with humans and suffering from something that they can not always fully control. Eventually they all seem to snap. At least where I come from.
