Normally, any minor deviation in the film adaption of a novel causes you to "rage," as you like to put it, so this uncharacteristic enthusiasm over what appears to be a significant change...

Of course I don't share in your excitement. Unlike Emmett, I don't enjoy fighting, especially not when the Volturi are our opponents.

And I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it's highly unlikely that anything will come of my fall. You're the one falling for their ploy. It's called a teaser trailer for a reason.

Not usually, no. I suppose they wanted to reverse the roles, to give Bella a chance to be the knight in shining armor for once. [Because she'd finally be a sparkly vampire, she could do that in a literal sense, 'cause her skin would count as armor. And, you know, it'd be sparkling.] A completely unnecessary gesture. She already saves me in an entirely different way, as I've already said.

But, for the matter at hand, whether or not my theory is correct remains to be seen.
