Ahh, I'm really happy to be getting out, don't get me wrong! It's so boring just coming out whenever you have the time, so this is great! Even with stuff like demons and monsters, that's fine, since it's... Well, how should I say it, it's kind of the same as normal, right? Actually, I wonder if it's better than normal...

But there's just one problem. See, all of that is fine, and I'm pretty excited, but getting someone to bring that tricky curry woman along too? That'll ruin all of the fun and you know it! Couldn't you get someone better or at least more tolerable to come along? Like, you know, Shiki!

...Alright, I guess that's wishful thinking, you're right, but still! I don't really like this idea of having to team up with her, and you know that's exactly what's going to happen.

I'll only forgive you because it's still getting to go out somewhere. Even if it's a really weird place... But only because of that! Otherwise, you'd seriously be in trouble.

So you've got yourself a ticket to this place, too, huh? I suppose that gives us some incentive to get acquainted with one another, doesn't it? Keep each other company 'til we get there.

Ah, what am I saying? This ain't some train ride or anything. But I still feel like I should be asking you politely if I can take the seat next to ya!

[ifs]

Well, sure!

[wow this person is so friendly!!] It's kind of a strange place to make friends, but that's not reason to not try, right? So my name is Arcueid. And my last name is kind of long, so we'll just say Arcueid for now.

[alphas]

You could say I've made friends in stranger. If you ask me, you're more likely to have a better impression of somebody if you can associate their face with something strange. Well, unless you come across somebody particularly attractive, that's usually the case.

I take it I won't be referring to you by the title of Miss or Mrs, then! You can call me Claire, then. Claire Stanfield.

[ifs]

[She laughs] That's probably true! I think the most memorable people I've meet have been in strange situations.

[like killing her... lmao...]

But you're right, no titles or anything like that. I'm not really a fan of them. There's something better about just knowing someone's name without any of that stuff, you know? So it's nice to meet you, Claire.

[alphas]

[HE PROPOSED TO A PSYCHO TERRORIST ON TOP OF A TRAIN COVERED IN BLOOD. Does that top hers?] Then here's to considering ourselves memorable once strange things start happening. I don't know about you, but I'm certainly excited to go try my hand at catching something real big. Maybe if I'm lucky I won't have to kill it. I haven't had any pets growing up, so this might be the perfect opportunity.

[ifs]

[SADLY NO... Arcueid gets literally murdered by her love interest. It's how they meet. . .]

...I don't know about that much. I mean, things like that, they don't ever really lose their impulse to feed on people. They're probably not smart enough to try and restrain themselves if they decided they liked you, either. [She looks thoughtful, as if seriously considering the merits of having a demon baby child as a pet] Would something like that even be a good pet? ...What makes a good pet, now that I think about it?

[alphas]

If you ask me, there's no such thing as a good pet, because it's what you make of 'em! If your dog's not gonna behave, you only have yourself to blame since you should've trained it properly in the first place. No animal out there can't be broken in, whether they're considered monsters or not. Show 'em a little affection and maintain your ground as the alpha and they'll be your best friend forever!

[ifs]

Oh, I get it! That makes sense. [NO ARC you're too gullible don't be friends with claire...]

Still, those things aren't exactly dogs, are they? I don't know if being, a, um, alpha, will help. It's usually more like they'll kill you or you kill them.

[alphas]

I guess they wouldn't be too comparable to dogs, but maybe crocodiles could work. Those things are possible to tame, provided that you keep their jaws at bay. It's just a matter of finding a technique that works. You won't know if something can learn to bond unless you try, right?

[ifs]

I guess not! That would make this place a lot easier to deal with if you could tame them, wouldn't it? [She laughs] It would be a really strange zoo, though. Or whatever!

[alphas]

Well, what do you think? Maybe if you're interested, you can give me a hand. Though I wouldn't want to risk such a beautiful dame getting mauled if she's not capable enough.

[ifs]

[She looks away awkwardly, clearly unused to getting such compliments. But she basically just ignores the comment, moving on with a cheerful smile after that pause.]

That won't be a problem! Even if something goes kind of wrong, I'm a little more durable than a human anyways, so it'll probably be fine. Or... That's if I get caught off guard at all, of course!

[alphas]

Oh! You don't say?! What are we talkin' here? Some kind of ghoul? Maybe you're a goddess! Ah...

[ifs]

[She laughs, but shakes her head] Nope, nothing like that! I'm what's generally refereed to as a "vampire." That's what humans call us, anyways.

[alphas]

No kidding! Now that you mention it, I was sorta friends with one of those not too long ago! She was a bit of a handful of a broad, but she wasn't so bad once you got past the attitude.

[ifs]

[HAHAHA no she was still bad don't kid yourself]

[But Arcueid chuckles, looking a little surprised, but probably not as much as would be expected. As far as she's concerned, another vampire is probably something that she would have to kill, though this one doesn't sound too bad. Of course little does she know...]

Well, I guess that's a good thing! I don't have to explain the basics, huh? [a beat, then she adds like it's an afterthought] Though since you didn't bring it up first, I guess you're not too worried, but just in case, I might as well mention that I don't drink blood. So you don't really have to worry about that, if you were? Or even if you were curious, I guess.
