On background changes

With just a single stroke of the keyboard... stroke, is that the right... whatever, it's poetic. A single stroke was all it took to topple the finest empire this side of the world. And now you've relegated me to the lowly position of... revolutionary.

You can tell just by the icon you've chosen for me (though none of them are particularly happy) that the edits you're making to your story simply stinks. Honestly, if you wanted to make me a "villain protagonist", you didn't have to remove me from a position of power just to get me to fight for it again. Seeing effort and measuring progress does not produce interest. Says who? Shut up, you.

Your webcomic in progress is doomed to fail and so are you. Quit it with this writing nonsense and work on something remotely useful. Leave your creations with some ounce of dignity. Please. That goes for all the other writey types.

Beedigeeki peedibeep geekibeeki! Peedidibeeki Kibeep beeki! [But changing the story to have you fight back into power gives the story a conflict to resolve! It's good storytelling!]

Keedibeep! Geekibeeki peedi beep keeki. Geebeebiki geekidi beeki [Of course you have to know how to write to be a good writer! You're just attempting to justify your own self-importance through fake intellectual stuff! Besides, you'll get your empire back, as long as the conflict resolves! You're just being LAZY.]

In "medieval" fantasy, empires are the villains because of the abuse of the nobility against the lower classes. In "steampunk" fantasy, empires become the heroes and revolutionaries the villains because of the revolutionary violence of the 19th century. It's just a change in style.

> You decide not to mention you got this whole speech from someone's analysis of those two Avatar cartoons...

It's no weirder than putting a "dungeon crawler" in modern Japan.

Which I admit was pretty weird, looking back...
