Me? Forget? Of course not, I wouldn't dream of it. It's just that every villain in St. Canard seems to call my attention at the absolute worst time. You know I can't put my heroic duty in jeopardy if I'm needed... right?

[The fiery look in her eyes was convicting him all the more as he spoke. Darkwing certainly had his priorities, and to taste the glory of swooping in to save the day, no matter how trivial the case, had sidetracked him to a disastrous end. To see those eyes ablaze was like receiving a dagger to the heart.]

[He did sound a bit rushed for words at this point, wracking his brain for things he could say, reassuring things.] I couldn't possibly bear the grand opening because-because- [he cringed. She very well could have taken a shot at him then.] I couldn't stand to see what the dining public would think about the food! I didn't want to see that gourmet critic give a bad review, I didn't want to see a giant squid sabotage the restaurant..but it happened anyway and it was all my fault. [Instead of raised in a gesture of defense, Dark let them down at his sides in a slump.]

Has your mun told you where she wants to send you yet?

Now that has yet to be detailed. With a little discernment I hope it will be a place where I can put my sleuthing specialities to use. I couldn't possibly be sidetracked too long and leave my fair city untended! It needs its constant gardener, its watchful eye, and Darkwing Duck is just the duck for the job!
