[ And he isn't going to know. Carl doesn't need to know that his role model put a machete through a scumbag's head or that he left another one of the prisoner's to get devoured by walkers because these aren't burdens that he can share with his son. ]

We're going t'be safe here, Carl. I just know it. We got medical supplies, food, water, security and space. [ A small smile starts to form on his lips. ] Couldn't done it without you, son.

[The grin he gets on his face at the mention of medical probably gives him away, but then again, Rick probably knows what he did. Mom probably told him, she was pretty pissed off. But they needed it, and it was easy to do.]

I think it's the best place we've been to in a while. Definitely the safest, even if there were a lot of 'em.

[ Rick kinda sorta knows what Carl did. He half overheard a conversation between Carol and Lori and once he heard that Carl was the one to snag the supplies, Rick stopped listening.

He's thankful that Carl helped saved Hershel, but there's also a part of him that's a little pissed off that Carl did something so reckless.

After Dale's death, Carl took a lot of responsibility for it and quickly grew up and adapted to the piss poor excuse for a world that they live in. So, yeah, Rick pretty much thinks that what Carl did was reckless, brave and necessary. ]

There's still more food in the cafeteria that I gotta collect. How'd you feel about givin' your old man a hand?
