So! You quite like that Doctor, he's ever so cool, quite witty and capable and entirely too much for you to handle. So good job that you figured that out on your own, it makes you more aware of your own limits than what, oh... some percentage or other, I've lose count of people who never quite got it. Also you are much more boring.
But you still quite like the Doctor, I don't see why not, he's quite the spiffy chap, and so in the interests of playing someone like him but not quite so difficult you've made a journal for me. Oh, very clever. Very bright. Pat yourself on the back, job well done.
One slight problem with that, just a little one, I'm sure we can clear it up...
I am the Doctor. In the Flesh. [He rises to his toes and falls back flat-footed, adjusting his bow tie.] Only this shouldn't be a surprise, you knew this planned out that phrase before you made the journal and you still don't think you're up to it. Making the entire point this effort to have me make that one pun.
Well, it is a good one, if I say so myself.

[ Omg ball of excitement suddenly in your face, straightening your bow tie and patting your shoulders down for dust. HI. ]
I do love meeting myself, and oh, it's narcissistic, but I am brilliant, so I think we can look past it. And really, just look at us; we're make a fantastic pair, a very good, very brilliantly cool pair.

[Smile, low pitying voice.] It's really quite sad.

Only the best pair, quite spectacular really, we did know it might be possible to come back but this was not one of the first possibilities of just how. Perhaps thirty-sixth.

Oh, well, nexuses. You know what a good nexus is like, absolute chaos and we've always been a bit of a sucker for absolute chaos. Well, chaos and a reason to wear a top hat. Both very good reasons to travel anywhere in time and space.
[ they. could DANCE TOGETHER. he's just thinking of this possibility and it's so brilliant he can't even word it. ]

[
Is that euphemistic dance oroh it doesn't matter he's up for dancing it would be marvelous.]Oh, just look at me. Better than ever!

[ GRINNING. ]
They really did get it right, didn't they? Just think of having two of me could do to for the universe. If I know the universe - oh, and we do - she just won't know what's hit her.
[ and it will be glorious. bow ties. scones. dance parties. he's getting DDR for the TARDIS. good times will be had by all. ]
I happen to think we look incredibly dashing. Absolutely charming. Do you want to go somewhere? We could visit Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and take him to see the fairies of Boswald Blue. He'd like that, he's always had a bit of a soft spot for all of that; nice bloke, we gave him inspiration for Sherlock Holmes. Funny how that happens, isn't it?
Right! Come on, get in, we're going out. We're suiting up, because if we're not seeing Arthur then we're going dancing and there's no two ways about it.

When does she ever? Just like old times, but without one of those crises so big they need two of us and a refreshing bout of crossing-the-personal-time-stream to handle, is there? Oh, I'm sure one will pop up. [Of course he sounds delighted about that.]
So long as it's not directly after he throws a poker at us that one time, poor man would be seeing double and oh! we can't have TARDIS energy stabilizing me like this though I suppose dear JK could get something out of it hang on-
[His face gets less Flesh-y] There we go. You'll have to excuse the lack of appropriate icons, it's the mun again, I've addressed that already but anyway! Let's go already!

That's quite alright, Doctor. You're a bit much to handle and no one knows that like I do.
no subject
Wait.
No, not known as hard. Never known as hard. Not as soft, either, but- all right, yes, that one translation of "Doctor" in Kilik-]
Oh, yes, and of course there are times I have to wonder what you know...
no subject
Ah, well that's a mystery for another time. Perhaps my birthday, per se.
[Have a sly, flirtatious grin]
In any case, how are you feeling?
no subject
I'm the Doctor, I'm always fine. ...This is the point where I ask it back, isn't it? How are you feeling, River?
no subject
Oh me? I'm doing fine. No need to worry about me. Does your mun have any plans for you or is she just 'trying you on'?

Well. At the moment it was written, every word of that post is true. [Glances up] And some of it makes poor grammatical sense, but no, own it, you might as well. Now, it looks as if I'm being tested out like, yes, a new car... amazingly apt metaphor, you see.
[Whispering:] She's terrified of driving. All that metal and momentum, and sometimes she forgets which way is left.
So it seems sublimely unlikely that we'll go anywhere, but sometimes the universe surprises you, eh?

Looks just now like I'm relegated to the bin of interesting ideas that she's too intimidated to properly try out, which is very disappointing, if not surprising. I really am too much for her.
- but, should she somehow become less timid about the whole thing, she knows where to find me.
