This again? Haven't we been through this already? Because unless I'm remembering wrong (and I'm not), we were in this same situation about three months ago when you got overlyexcited about the reboot or spin-off or whatever it is they're calling the mini-us series.

I'm really not sure what set you off this time, but I suppose you should just get it out of your system. Especially since self-control is obviously something you have a much harder time grasping. Let's get on with it then.

And just to be clear: you owe me tea and ice cream for this.

Well, maybe not both at once, but more because the tea makes the ice cream taste too sweet and the ice cream makes the tea tasteless. Better to enjoy them separately. [Clearly a lot of thought goes into this.]

Mostly herbal tea. Peppermint lemongrass is a morning favourite, and Darjeeling if we're talking about black tea. [okay Raven, even if she's another you, she probably doesn't want to hear you ramble on about tea.]

How about you? [Small pause. She's not even sure if she likes tea. Erm.] That is. This is the first I've met your version of myself. [That felt strange to say.]

Chamomile tea is a favorite. I also enjoy the flowering teas, as well as the green teas. Currently, Garfield will purchase a tea from the market and I will try that tea. I believe the latest tea he's chosen is coconut chai.

Yeah, chamomile is good too, particularly after meditation.

Garfield...? [Small amused sound.] I can't imagine Beast Boy ever buying me tea.

[Oh, okay, yeah, now she's sure she didn't want to know. And hoping she didn't just violate older!Raven's privacy. Deciding to go for the most straightforward route; she figures Raven will understand.]

I really can't imagine that. I don't think I'll ever really get the hang of alternate universes. But it's good to know that we're all still together in other places too. [Yes, that's right, attempt to transition smoothly into talk of Titans. If she's lucky, she won't sound completely awkward about it.]

Histories obviously must differentiate. Is Victor still with the Titans, or...is he working elsewhere.

Cyborg? He's always been with us. "Still" sounds ominous...

We couldn't remain Teen for long. We all had to move on. After some time, a few of us moved back after some...time away.

[Contemplative silence. Yeah, the team is getting close to the age where "Teen" will no longer be appropriate, but she's always avoided thinking about the possibility that Raven has just described.]

That makes sense. I just have a hard time imagining the Titans without Cyborg.

He still visits. Often enough, Victor and Garfield will get together to play loud, obnoxious games or go and see a movie. We miss him, but we know that he's not that far away, since he works with the Justice League.

Some things never change. [Still, the Justice League. She's impressed and proud.] He must love being able to tune up the Watch Tower.

[The thought of Cyborg losing enthusiasm for designing complicated security and technology makes her inexplicably sad.] Then again, some things do change. [She wonders what else changes in the future that could very be her own.]

And we still enjoy our teas. I guess the important things remain, even if the form changes.

They also grow in size. I and my teammates may not be Teen anymore, but we now have a new generation of Titans. They're...not too different from how we started out.

Yeah, we have different branches now too. In different countries... and some of them are very young too. It's so different from what we thought we could become at the beginning.

Garfield and Victor like to call the Titans one big, dysfunctional family. I am so glad to be part of the family once more.

It sounds close to what you've been describing. Starfire is still learning English slang with enthusiasm, Cyborg is in a committed relationship with the T-Car, Beast Boy is happy as long as he has tofu and video games. And Robin is our fearless, neurotic, color-blind leader. Dysfunctional's a good word for it. [small pause] But family is better.

[ Kori learning English slang with enthusiasm? Victor and a car? Garfield and tofu? Well, at least Dick seems to stick to the archetype. ] There are definite differences, but I am glad to know that your Titans are well and happy.

[ she reaches up and puts back her cloak's hood. ] Anything particularly exciting occurring in your dimension?

Hmmmm. Your skin, your hair, the way you dress, that...thing on your head. You're like some sort of demon child!

... well, you're not the first to think so. [Also not wrong, but she's not about to say that.]

OR you could just be a girl in a Halloween costume. But that would still be worth noticing.

[More than content to let you draw your own conclusions.] It is almost Halloween. Or I could just be going through a rebellious teenage phase. The possibilities are endless.
