Family. [Sighs.]I was just reunited with them before they were taken from me. [His voice becomes more determined.] We'll be united again soon.

[Determined is good. If someone else is going to share his face, he'd better be of good, strong heart.

Even if he's shaved his face entirely. (Tragedy!)]

Taken? By force?

[Yes, Fandral, that's generally...shh.]

[There's a rule somewhere that says he has to clean shaven or else he loses his charming status. Look at what happened when he grew some stubble.]

Yes, they've been taken somewhere far away. Getting there will be a challenge but not impossible. [Refuses to believe it's impossible.]

Unfortunately. [It seems like every time Snow and him are reunited, something always interferes.]

I'm sure she's okay. [and he means both of them]

I have faith that they can endure the challenges ahead of them, but they shouldn't have to face them alone. All of us need to be there for them.

Ah, come on, your highness. You remember all those things you had to face on your own. Those trials made you a hero.

They did. However, given the choice, I would always choose having my family fight by my side over glory.

I guess. I've just been on my own so long I can't imagine doing it differently.

You're no longer alone, we're all in this together now. [Studies him.] Though I am still not sure who you are outside of this cursed city.

I'm not surprised you don't recognize me; I was much younger back then.

And yet you aged here? [Studies him, trying to figure out who he was and how he was able to age in this world.]

The curse didn't catch up with me right away. [now that he's face-to-face with the prince, he's reluctant to tell the whole truth]

Haven't we had enough lies? Emma is the only one that escaped the curse and that's because...we sent her away to protect her.

She wasn't the only one who escaped, your highness.

That's impossible. The only way out was through the wardrobe and there was only enough room for one person.

The Blue Fairy lied. It worked for two.

She lied?! [Someone's not too happy about it. Emma was left without a mother because of a lie.]

That's right. [telling the truth sucks]

[Oh look, it's daddy. Not like Emma would actually ever call them that in person, but that's who he is!

Though, she looks relieved to see him, even if it's here.]

We're relatively safe, if that helps any. Turns out Mom can hold her own.

[Still not used to that. Nope.]

Emma!

[Quickly rushes over to her side and he goes to hug her, but there's some hesitation on his end. He knows that she's still adjusting to everything and he's not quite as headstrong as Snow is about these things.

Still, there isn't much distance between the two of them and he settles for bringing his hands to her shoulders, clasping on tightly.]

I don't doubt that the two of you are making anyone who is trying to give you trouble regret their decision.

I'm sure the ogre would agree with you, if it could.

[Emma attempted at a small grin. While she felt that she should hug him, something held her back. So, she just stood there with a half smile.]

I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything, what with seeing magic and being stuck here in the Enchanted Forest. We almost found a way back, before I.. burned it..

[Oops.]

You defeated an ogre?

[Grins at her, his pride visible in his eyes. However, the grin on his face quickly fades and his pride turns into alarm at her confession.]

Burned it? What happened? Is your mother safe?

[swanprincess]

Snow was the one that killed the ogre, actually. Saved my life in the process.

[Emma hesitates to answer his following questions, considering the circumstances.]

Well, we're safe, if only for the time being.

Mom had the idea of using the wardrobe to get us back. You know, the one little baby me went through? Cora, Regina's mother, followed us to the castle.. Or what was left of it. She said she was going to use it to get to Storybrooke to get to Henry and Regina.

I couldn't let her get to Henry, so I.. sorta burned the wardrobe...

Your mother always was an excellent shot.

[Watches her as he listens to the explanation. His mind instantly goes back to the night he had to send her away and how he watched her disappear with what he thought was his dying breath.]

You did what was right. We always have to try and give our children their best chance.

[Drops his hands from her shoulders so that he can finally pull her into a tight hug.]

I'll keep Henry safe for you, I promise.

[swanprincess]

[Oh, ok. Hugging. Still not--- alright. Slowly she wraps her arms around him. This was strangely comforting.]

I know you guys did what you had to, if only to give me my best chance... I've actually seen just how much you two sacrificed for me.

And thank you for taking care of Henry. Has Regina been giving you any trouble with him?

I would give all that I have for your safety and well being. [When she hugs him back, he feels his hesitation slip away and he's more comfortable in their embrace.]

Regina's being...Regina, but she's at a loss without her powers. I offered Henry some sword training to help him keep his mind off of everything that's happened and have something positive to focus on.

[swanprincess]

S-Sword training? You're going to teach him how to use a sword? Really?

[She was more in shock than anything. Clearly this was Henry's idea too. She was almost afraid to wonder what else he was asking for right now.]

Just be careful with that, ok? Last thing I need to come back to is my kid without a hand or an arm.

[Catching the very last bit of their ongoing conversation, she walked up behind them with an ear-to-ear grin...just longing to wrap her arms around them both.]

No worries, your father was always excellent with a sword.

[She chuckled, lovingly wrapping her arms around him and resting her cheek on his shoulder.]

Snow!

[Now that he's all caught up with everything that's happened, he turns around in her arms so he can wrap his arms around her in return.

Hugs her tightly and closes his eyes over. He can't begin to describe how good it feels to have her in his arms again.]

I knew we would find each other again, even if it was in this place.

[It took all of her strength to hold back the tears of joy that she knew would eventually emerge.]

Charming..

[During their long separation, she had imagined how it would feel to once again embrace him, but nothing could have prepared her for the overwhelming joy that she felt. Closing her eyes, she squeezes him tighter..a genuine smile spreading across her face, revealing her every feeling.]


As long as we're together...as a family.. [She turns her head slightly- her warm smile beaming over at Emma for a brief moment- then turns back to face him, gazing up into his eyes.] That's all that matters.
