You seem so intent on it, but it's such a foul existence. I don't understand why you would want to keep my...curse in my game. The last thing I want is to cause harm to those around me. It's too dangerous and without Aeron I...I fear what may happen. 

Even so, I will not give up. If my curse remains, I will find a way to remedy it. Aeron has sacrificed so much for me to live a normal life again. I will not let it be in vain.

[That makes her smile. Without Mavda or Aeron, she would have never made it outside the city that day, let alone to the towers and beyond. ]

You're right. It would be difficult to do much of anything without support. I suppose it's...just frightening to think of the unknown. A world without the people you're comfortable with.

We all have to face the unknown eventually. You'll make new friends and make new ties. [He might sound strong, but there is something sad in his eyes.] Then your old friends might show up...

Think of the reunion you'll have.

[That look doesn't go unnoticed. She's seen it a few times in her day, but bringing it up seems impolite, especially when they only just met. She offers another small smile.]

When you put it that way, it doesn't sound scary at all. Just the thought of seeing everyone again it makes me feel so...well, you sound as though you've experienced it before. I probably don't need to explain it.

I haven't been reunited yet, but I will be. [He's hanging onto that.] The others have to live their lives and find their way to wherever I end up.

The same probably applies to your friends. So, really, it's a waiting game. [One that's hard to stand at times.] Just be strong.

[She believes that too and hopes for this sake. Hopefully the gods of Aios will answer her prayers even here.

Then after a small pause, she crosses her arms over her chest.]

I'd be lying if I said I still wasn't afraid, but maybe it will feel like just being in the village again. Perhaps my mother will even be there.

[He flushes under the praise, unused to it.]

I'd rather them stay put, but if they do turn up here, I'll do what I can for them.

[That's an interesting comment.]

[She looks a little uneasy at the comment.]

A soldier? Was there need for such a thing in your world as well?

[While the mention of soldier makes her reminisce about the past, the realization never leaves her that they fight. They get injured. They die. It's a future she would wish on no one.

Though thinking about her home turns that frown upside down. Just talking about it relaxes her.]

It's a lovely place outside the city. It's small and quiet. We all look after each other. It's almost like one big family.

Elena, huh? [That's ironic. But he brushes it aside.] More than you know. [And more than he wants to get into. It's all very complicated and...sad.]

I died. [Gunned down by those who were supposed to be his allies.] I don't regret it. I would do it again. But it must have been hard on...everyone.

[It's not a shocking answer, just one she didn't want to hear. She folds her hands together and holds them close to her chest for a moment.]

...They missed you dearly, I'm sure of it. [She pauses. Maybe a more light hearted topic for him? It can't be easy dealing with his death. ] Could you tell me about your friends? I'd love to hear about them.
