It's the most accurate term I can think of for why it's a beneficial attitude for him.

A lack of ageing doesn't necessarily translate to a lack of changing. I do think he makes an effort to hold on to his childishly energetic attitude, however.

It does, although I do worry that more of it has become an act recently.

His enthusiasm seemed more genuine when we first met. After Albedo's death, he was more subdued and his behavior seemed less like that of a child, even outside of life or death situations. On top of that, his reaction to seeing Albedo again after a full year proved that he still hadn't come to terms with his death. I can only imagine how losing Gaignun affected him.

I'm not certain that any of us want to. Losing one's close family prematurely is very difficult to cope with.
