Deja Vu all over again
Haven't we been here before? You thinking you need to put me somewhere, me thinking frankly that your wrong.
I remember it pretty clearly. Oh, know what else I remember? Last time you did it you sent me to a place where I met someone, a nice guy, we got on well and then he killed me. Not what I call fun, and after that the whole place feel down around my ears and became something else. Thanks for being so gracious as to remove me.
Given all that you'll forgive me if your idea of 'finding me a home' like I am some wayward puppy is not setting well.
There are plenty of me out there, and you know how I diverge. So, let's put the issue aside and give you some time to get your senses back, ok?

[And then, quietly]
Glad to see you're ok.

*small nod*
Thanks. And likewise. You've been missed.

[It's trying so hard to be a joke, even under the layers of weary sarcasm, Natasha is very, very tired.]
Missed? For me that usually involves bullets and is a good thing.

*poor Natasha. How'd she like a shoulder rub? A coffee? Something?*
I think we have established that my reactions and the 'usual' ones just don't match up.

[Will you just stop being so damned likeable? You make it really difficult to be unemotional. She is totally not even entertaining those offers, totally..mostly..that actually sounds really nice.]
We have; you are a stubborn, foolish, and sometimes wonderful sort of man.
no subject
Why, thank you. And you are a beautiful, capable, and altogether amazing sort of a woman.
no subject
You would be alone in most of that assessment, I don't think many would color me in such favorable terms.

I don't like to deal in threats, I'm far more open about the facts; I know exactly what I am capable of, and so do they.

[She tried not to smile at the compliment, but.she failed.]

I mean there's lots of women who would find you really attractive.

But if that's all I get to be remembered for... I prob'ly kinda did it all wrong.
no subject
I think there are a lot of reasons for you to be remembered. I know I've tried to forget you and you just keep coming back.
{It was supposed to be witty, a jab or joke, it was too weakly spoken to have any real impact though. Maybe too much truth to it?]

*... followed by wide innocent eyes.* But how could I abandon a dame in need?
no subject
Indeed, how could you, ever the hero aren't you? Well who ever said I was in need?
no subject
You know the answer to that one. And... well. You're in need of things you don't quite realize you've been missing for a while. It counts.
no subject
You always say that, you say I need things. So...this one time I'll give you the chance to show me what it is you think I've been missing.
no subject
With that permission, you are getting kissed. Well and thoroughly and warmly kissed.*
no subject
It wasn't a kiss she'd been trained to give, but then again she wasn't trying to seduce him either. It was shockingly soft and yielding, completely at odds with how she had always presented herself.]

The kiss deepened and that hesitant wrap of arms wound tighter holding him to her while fingers softly traced over his back.]
no subject
Just before he had to interrupt the kiss - for air - he ran the tip of his tongue along her lower lip. Just once, and just that. And when he pulled slightly back, his eyes were bright with joy.*
Hello, beautiful.
