Inflating an individual's ego- particularly when doing so is entirely unwarranted- isn't my job.

I'm no expert on human psychology, but I find that some light praise and encouragement every now and again when something goes right improves productivity and encourages good rapport with the mundane. Comes in handy later, when you are in a situation where you have to negotiate with him or her.
