Well, I can't argue with that! It's good to get out and stretch my legs so to speak!

And stop fretting over the name you entered in my profile. I've been around the block long enough to have earned a variety of names! Really, you'd be surprised how many ways different people address me. As long as they're familiar with who I am and it's not too rude, I don't mind~!

Well, Liz just helped me by finding this picture. Not as young as your daughter but he was certainly more open with his affections in the past.

I don't know why, but Kid does make rather cute faces when he's having one of his episodes. I imagine it's because of those cute stripes of his!

You know, I do think his stripes are pretty cute myself, but... I brought them up, and he lost it again. They have this special charm to them, though! If only he could see past the asymmetry...

I know~He almost never smiles like that anymore. I miss it!

[He also misses the hugs and just him being squishably cute.]

Well, it could also be because they mark him as not being fully grown yet. Once he's connected all three stripes permanently, he'll have his "adult plumage" so to speak!

I hope my little girl never grows out of smiling like that. That'd be horrible.

[And happy again!] Oh, it's just an expression! Y'see, his stripes are only half-finished. When he's an adult, they'll be complete rings around his head. More symmetrical, yes, but still cute!

You know, maybe you should tell him they'll eventually become a circle? It'd help his, uh, problem...though, well, I guess you're actually gone in our world, so that wouldn't really work.

Unfortunately, managing death even remotely is a full-time job. I haven't been able to spend as much time with him as I'd like.

Hmm...perhaps that would help though he does know that he'll reach full strength when his lines connect.

Well, that would certainly explain why he comes across as very independent.

......that's one way to torture people. Though, really, it's almost a surprise Kid doesn't keep himself covered in the same way that you do.

He does? I guess even then, he has no idea when that'd be though, right? So...it'd still be uneven until...he doesn't know when...

It's for the best that he doesn't. He can have more normal moments if he looks like a human at least.
