--Well, it's about time! Geez, wait a little longer, why don't you? I can't believe I had to wait this long for you to get off your lazy rear end and set something up! Honestly! I'm sure that even a Slowking could've managed this in a far more timely pace than you ever could!
Cruel? Well, big surprise there, mundane--that's exactly what you were going for when you made me, right? Consider it the one thing you're managing to do right this time around. If we're on this track, I may just be able to improve you yet!
Keep playing that little game you have on you, for the moment. It'll do you some good to think more about my team--and most certainly, more about me. Now, get to it! Chop chop!

[That disapproving look will be met by a condescending one in return. Really, she just went there? Mei can hardly believe her ears, but she simply laughs.]
Oh my, you haven't seen my worst, then. I'll critique how I please, mam. [She snickers just a bit.] You'd probably be angry too if you were stuck with someone so slow!
no subject
...I've likely seen worse things than your worst. [Not bragging, just a simple fact.
Though the Rockets aren't the worst things ever, they are still pretty bad.]
no subject
Pssst, earth to Mei--pot's calling the kettle black here. You ain't perfect either, girl.]
...Truly? You either lead a very tragic life, or you attract terrible company--can I ask which it is?
no subject
I think being a champion automatically means you attract undesirable company. [A small shrug. She's gotten used to it - had no choice really.] More so if you're Kantou's champion.
[She actually looks sheepish about the whole thing.]
no subject
--Ah. I see then.
[Her tone is surprisingly more respectful at the mention of that! She'll at least respect the stronger party in this, until she's on higher ground.]
Please allow me to say sorry for assuming, then. Is it really that bad for you all over in Kanto?
no subject
.. Y-Yea. The Rockets.. Um. We don't know who the boss is and the Heir... He keeps slipping though our fingers. [They won't know who the boss is for some years - though depending on what Year Unova Events happen
that still needs to be worked out opps.. It might have been all over the world that Sakaki Nagamori was head of the Rockets, though they have yet to capture him.]no subject

[She's appreciative, sure, but she's staring just a bit if you don't mind. Observing, if you will.]

Please allow for an apology at this time, Mei is just going to start laughing. Clearly, sir, you have told her the best joke in a good long time.]
Ahahahaha! Oh my, that's...that's funny, sir. [Don't worry, she'll attempt to settle herself.]
Pokemon are simply tools to be used as we so please--they are the means to an end. They are certainly more capable than us, but a tool is a tool. It shall never be equal.
[...N, welcome to the perfect example of the kind of humans who Ghetsis talked about.]
no subject
I do not believe that Pokemon should be used as a tool. They are not tools, but things of marvel and beauty. Clearly there is some time to go with showing you the correct road. I always thought trainers were close with their Pokemon.
You are not in Team Plasma.
no subject
...Still, that only brings a smirk to Mei's face.]
Really? Then why is it that they respond to our commands so quickly when we bring them out? Why are they so willing to live, breathe, and very possibly die for us? If they were truly any more than a tool, they would never go to such lengths--they are merely weapons that are alive.
[...Plasma, though? That sounds awfully familiar...] You work with them, then?
no subject
It is because they know no better. Slaves to humans because they have been taught or pressured into being. I believe they need to be freed from the opression. Be allowed to live freely without the use of a human.
no subject
Allow me to spell it out to you--we've used Pokemon for many centuries as tools. The league sees them as such, and we're required to see them as such. Understand?
[Mei chuckles--she refuses to believe any sort of world outside of a fairy tale operates like THAT. The canon world of Pokemon is nothing more than a dream, in her view.
...Still, that second portion? Earns a little bit of a smile from Mei--something a little more genuine.]
Now, tell me. Do you have a way to do that? If you dream of separating us, you can definitely try it--you're going to have a lot of opposition, however.
If you believe it though...well, maybe you can pull it off! I'd be interested in seeing you try.
[...Hard to tell if that's sarcasm or if she's being real about it, but she respects that part of his opinion at least!
Hi N. Welcome to Mei's logic. It's very illogical.]no subject
[...Rosa, honey, your mun plays a bunch of jerks, this is terrible advice.]
Just try being a little nicer! I think that will help a lot!
no subject
Mei puffs up at that remark, looking distinctly offended.]
Coddle her? [...Being nice to anyone who isn't Kyouhei or Hiroshi obviously equals coddling. Nice logic there, Mei.]
Absolutely not! 'Acting nice', as you put it, will only entice her to be MORE lazy. I have no plans of tolerating that, and neither should you!
[...Yep, she's going down the path of narcissisticly putting her own logic into Rosa's words. Come on, she looks like herself, she may as well teach her that high standards mean everything!!!
Run, Rosa, run.]no subject
[Oh don't worry Mei! Rosa's a bit of a derp...]
no subject
[Mei lets out an almost dramatic sigh, shaking her head at Rosa.] You're going to require more work than I thought at this rate...your parents should be ashamed that they simply let you be this way for so long.
no subject
Tell me something, are you this way with your Pokemon? ...Not that you should consider your mun a Pokemon, since I don't think she'd like that...
no subject
[Ahh. Well, Mei's face goes surprisingly serene at that.] Of course! Pokemon are the ones who need the critique most of all. After all, if they can't improve themselves, they'll wind up dying. They're tools--and like tools, they require sharpening to reach their potential.
no subject
[Rosa seems genuinely upset by that statement! Oh, but there's something else there...]
Pokemon don't die. Well, I mean, they don't die very easily. What are you talking about?
no subject
[Mei's going to try to get right up into Rosa's face when she makes her next point.] My only friends are the ones who I accept as my friends. A tool can never be a friend--all it does is weaken the creature into believing that their precious trainer will do everything for them. Friendship with these creatures is rather useless when you think about it...
[The comment about death however...that gets Mei a little confused. She doesn't know...?] Pokemon die in battle...it's a natural part of raising them, if you so happen to come across someone who wants to fight to the death. An unrefined Pokemon will die against anything if you aren't careful.
[She states this pretty matter of factly--honestly, did her parents not even mention this to her? Damn. Mei might actually feel something resembling pity for the naive one she perceives in front of her.]
no subject
No. They're not tools! They're your partners! They should be your friends! You shouldn't treat them like that!
...What are you talking about? Pokemon don't die in battle. They faint sometimes if you're not careful, but they don't die.
[...Is this something that only happens in your world...?]
no subject
Must keep calm and composed in the face of all of this. That's gonna become Mei's mantra at this point.]
And what part of the fact that those creatures are simply going to get utterly lazy with all of that coddling do you not seem to understand?!
[She refuses to believe it. She refuses to believe that friendship is the way to raise these creatures. She refuses to let herself go to that low point of relying on them as friends. Her view is...pretty screwed up.]
Give me proof that this stuff is real! I dare you to!
[Explaining the death part calms her down a bit, but she's still working herself up inside.]
You don't understand, do you? When you fight another trainer, they play to win...! And when you win, you have to leave your opponent without anything left--they'll do the exact same, if they're smart...
Pokemon's lives are fragile, and nothing can save them if they can't defend themselves. It's a fact of life--whether you've experienced it or not.
no subject
Mei! What's wrong with you? You should know better than to talk to people like that!!
no subject
Hiroshi--? [...Oh boy, this is just a bit awkward. Still, she stands by her point, but she's a little softer in it.]
Well, it's the only way to get people to listen sometimes. I'm simply trying to get this 'mun' person off her butt and in the game!
[A little cruelly, sure, but cruelty is the means to an end sometimes.]
no subject
You should still try to be a little nicer.
no subject
Well, it's about time he did. Both of our mundane's could use the swift kick into action. ...It's good to see you, Kyouhei.
[On the other hand, she's not budging on the second bit.] And once she gets to my pace, I shall. No earlier, and no later.
