Game: Badfic Manor

I would appreciate the attention, Miss Mundane, if it weren't going to inevitably lead once more to my death. I've seen how your mind works. It's going to start off simply, and then you're going to make sure I'm exposed to something truly horrific.

I would say that I am not amused, but I highly doubt it would change your mind.

Still, the manor has always been of great interest to me, as well as the people within it. So long as we can avoid the unpleasantness I will be quite content.

I will miss Erik, of course, but I have come to the conclusion that the longer I am held from home, the longer I have to think up a solution to our problem.

Now, I can hear that head cold from here. Please go to sleep. There are others that rely on you.

Yes, a version of you, at least. That is another thing the manor does, I believe. It brings people from different...universes together. He and I were from different time periods, though I don't think that was the only thing separating us.

My death was not something I wished for you to see.

Because the town we were sent to was sentient, and made sure we were not together when he...it...cornered me. *he's going to have to learn how to deal with these memories. It was October of last year this happened, and now he's returning to the manor in the midst of horror month. Joy*

I certainly would my friend. The truth is that man has been dead for many years now. It was merely my own fear that allowed the manor to prey upon me. *and would allow it again if a similar incident came up. That fear is fresher now*

My father died when I was very young, and my mother remarried. I gained a new father and even a brother out of it.

And this specter of him killed you.

It...never came up. It's not a time of my life I am particularly proud of.

*deep breath* He haunted me for a week, feeding on my fear, before he finally got me alone. It certainly didn't help that the town we were in had that...presence. It was very loud in my head. *trying to play the death part as no big deal. Really. He'd worried one Erik enough with the whole bleeding out thing. It made little sense to worry another. God, this whole conversation is so out of his control*

It's...highly unlikely that the manor will do the same thing twice. The Author wouldn't want to become bored. *okay, that was bitter. And yet still somehow hopeful. Please let this October be not quite as horrible. Please.*
