[Owch, but she probably deserved that. That and a whole lot worse if she's being completely honest with herself, but it still hurts all the same. Still it's understandable when she flinches and takes a step back all the same.]

I didn't choose this. If there'd been another way, don't you think we would have taken it? None of us want this!

[As it is, she wakes up every morning and hopes that everything is all a dream. That she'll wake up in her own bed next to Mr. Snores-a-lot, but this is reality so she's quite stuck with it.]
