On the uses (and abuses) of Zero's hair

Pillow, blanket, napkin [he's kidding with that one, folks, X has better manners than that], substitute teddy bear, safety net...

It's a wonder Zero tolerates anything I decide to do with his hair other than stroke it and maybe braid it once every blue moon. Even after all these years he still won't let me brush it.

[X, why do you even want to brush Zero's hair?]

He lets me do everything else. I don't see why not. Besides, it'd be easier on him since he doesn't have to reach back or bring his hair around and retangle strands.

[light chuckle] I have, a long time ago when I was much younger. Stealth was never my true forte, and Zero's always alert. I tried, and the next second I'm in a headlock and hearing a grumpy Zero warn me to "keep that crummy thing away from my hair."

[X would frown at the sight of Sigma being around and put his guard up, but it's impossible to do the former because of the facepalming. X can only blink and stare.]

[actually laughs at that.] He takes his hair-care very seriously. I have to ask now, has anyone been able to do it amongst the Hunters?

No, no one. Zero's very choosy about who does and who doesn't get to touch his hair. I have practically every privilege except for brushing, Axl can use it as a pillow only, and I think Layer can reach out and stroke it. I don't know what he'd let Signas do to it, but I don't think our commander has any motive to reach out and fool with Zero's hair in any way.

Has Alia or Palette ever tried anything? or any of your friends from Giga City?

He's not so serious as he is ... calm, I guess. He and Zero have very similar demeanors. Alia and Palette haven't bothered to try anything, yet. I oughta ask what they'd do [provided he can find muses of said navigators hereabout somewhere].

[He'll blink in slight confusion at the mention of Giga City. Sorry, guys, this X is before Command Mission, and at this point he's only heard of the mining operation in that area that will soon become the bustling city.]

No, I meant that Zero should let me brush his hair so he doesn't have to wind up retangling his strands moving his hair around to the front so he can get at the ends. My mun has the same problem since she grew her hair out, and it only goes to the middle of her back.
