That ship has sailed. Late to the party. Missed the boat.

There's a lot of ways to say that my appearance just happened to be roughly three hundred and sixty five days after Nezumi was most likely here.
...One whole year.
[ Shion's quiet for a lengthy enough time that anyone listening might suspect that his little monologue is complete. ]
The space between seconds can mean the difference between success and failure. Gain or loss. Life or death. Coming to this place after that long- If he's not here anymore, where else is there left to search?
