Everything about being Hod is unfortunate. I might have fallen asleep reading most of the Eddas, but I don't remember ever coming across The Edda of Hod the Happy.

You've the powers of winter and darkness: why exactly do they need to apply to your everyday life? Or trade your powers away entirely and allow for everyone remembering you. It's not exactly difficult.
