You know, it's really not so bad. Everyone is so nice, too. 

And there are such stories to tell! Just think of what Varric could come up with if he met Serah Grimlock the enchanted amor or if he knew about those chatter runes. [Cellphones, Merrill.] His stories would be the best in all of Thedas, not that they aren't already.

Anyway, Mun, are you sure this place is going to be scary? I just can't believe it. [Nevermind the whole kidnapped, stuck in a creepy rundown city thing...]

It's a city, but I think it's been abandoned. I suppose it's a bit ghastly when you think about it but it really isn't so bad! I like the people I've met so far.

Oh, and tell your mun I said hello!

No. A demon is a demon. They can be harmless if you know what you're doing, and I do. 

[She says that crisply, with a tinge of annoyance, but reverts back to her usual tone as she goes on:]

It's more like... Anders. I thought he was a housecat when I first met him but it turns out he's really a tiger.

Do you? [ The harsh mockery in his tone, the raised brow, can only imply he disagrees. ] A demon by its very nature cannot be harmless.[ his lip curls, subtly, threatening a scowl as he crossed his arms across his chest.

There is nothing you can say, Merrill, that will undo the hate he's built over many years. ]

And my point still stands. Mages are not to be trusted. He is full on his way to becoming an abomination. So no, it may not always be about appearances, witch, but the world does not forgive foolish optimism.

But having heard such ignorance before doesn't make it any less vexing now.] 

I don't understand how you can really believe that all mages are the same

[That argument won't get her anywhere... She sighs. Talking to Fenris is very much like talking to a post.]

Hawke has your respect, and I have Hawke's trust. Isn't that enough? We don't have to agree on things. 

This is mainly here to compliment you on the flawless Merrill voice. =D

I am given to understand that, in many of these games, they appear quite welcoming at first. Then it proceeds to get worse over time, in some fashion. I have yet to experience this first hand, but I have seen a great deal of anecdotal evidence to this effect.

Though I must admit I am curious as to why mention of Serah Grimlock is making my mundane laugh. His only explanation is that he would pay money to see you speaking to a Dinobot? Are there places that require such payment?

Oh no, I really hope that's not how this turns out! Haven has so many lovely people; they don't deserve bad things. But I suppose it wouldn't be much of a game if nothing happened, would it? It's a shame it can't be one of a different kind. One with prizes. 

As for Serah Grimlock, I think he'd make anyone laugh. He's a very strange ... thing. He might even know what a Dinobot is. I don't ... but I'd talk to one for free if I ever met one.
