Reaction to the ending of The Promise

Well, Mun... it's finally over. I know that in Luceti, I was able to find out from the future people that this conflict would end without me having to make good on that promise. But it feels a lot more relieving to actually live through it. I feel like the world's really moving towards peace now, and that Zuko's really starting to learn from his mistakes. We just gotta find his mom now. Plus... I think things are better than ever for me and Katara, and I'm starting to see the future we can have together. I'm happy that Sokka and Suki are still together, too.

I'm just... I think I'm gonna miss Roku. But I'm gonna have to find my own way as the Avatar. The world's changing, and maybe the Avatar has to change too. Whatever happens to Yu Dao will have to be a symbol of the new way that balance works in the world. And I'll have to work closely with the air acolytes to make sure that my culture's preserved in a really respectful way. It's the only way it can survive when I'm the last Airbender.

But you're really gonna play around with my memories, aren't you, Mun? Tomorrow that event's gonna start in Luceti where we all have amnesia. Part of me can see how things can be easier without remembering... but it feels so wrong to have to forget everything. Things can never be so simple, can they? And... you're thinking of canon updating me in November, aren't you? Then I'll have even more memories, I'll be wiser, and I won't have to worry about Yu Dao anymore. And it'll be easier for me to believe in how possible Korra's future will be.

I would advise that way start by looking into keeping your most dangerous criminals from escaping, or getting any sort of arbitrary and poorly explained new identity facilitates their escape.
