Beatrice "Tris" Prior from Divergent
I know that my canon isn't even done yet, but you can still play me. Be brave! I'm Divergent and I can acclimate to anywhere and anything. Just do it already! Whatever is holding you back can't be all that bad. If I can face my fears several times, you can face this fear or whatever it is and find me a home! Come on, I can take anything you can throw at me.

[Tris looks closer at the... person - thing? with confusion.]
What are you?
no subject
So you get along with everyone? Interesting. I thought that was just called being amiable.
I'm a demon. Well technically I'm someones demon, but I'm not picky.

I hardly get along with everyone. I probably have more enemies than most do from where I'm from - not that I care.
[Tris' eyes widens in surprise as she looks at the masked feature.]
A demon? I've... I think I've heard of those. Demons are monsters, aren't they? They are the type of things that people face in the fear simulator.
Who's demon are you then? Who do you belong to? Are you a faction's demon or a person's?
His poor brain got NONE of that.
Oh, fear simulator sounds fun. I want one of those.
I'm the demon of a man named Ethan. But seeing as he's not here and I'm bored I'm more ... all purpose. Though I wouldn't say I belong to him. He's more .. hmm... my ward. I look after him. Make sure he's seeing things the way he should be. Make sure he remembers to relax and live a little.
OCC: Sorry!
Factions. Where you belong. Communities you live in. Qualities and traits you embody. I was born in Abnegation - the selfish faction - but I chose to switch to Dauntless - the brave faction. A faction is a place you belong. It's your family. Actually, it's faction before blood.
[She pauses for a moment, considering the statement.]
I think the simulators are still working in the Dauntless compound. You can go see if you can find one. I doubt anyone is using them anymore after what happened.
Oh, well. Where's Ethan then? Why is he letting you run off all by yourself? What should I call you, Ethan's demon?
No it's awesome. He needs to be confused more often, cocky bugger.
I may do just that. Not that I'll know how to work them should I find them. Still, might be something to do to pass the time.
Ethan is .. being Ethan. Solving crimes, doing detective work, searching for Oro and yelling at them with his better than mine vocal cords. Hmph. Not-drinking, not-smoking and not-fucking Rosa. That's what he's doing. The bastard.
Then yay! Not sorry!
But I'm from Chicago!
The dauntless compound is underground. Good luck finding it!
So Ethan is a... a what? A guard? Who or what is O-ro? Doing what to Rosa? What?!
:D
He's a detective. For the police. Or he was. Sort of still is. Kind of. Can we put it down as 'it's complicated?' The Oro are agents of chaos, bringing about fighting and destruction, and Ethan is apparently the remedy who can stop them yadda yadda yadda.
Fucking. You know. Screwing. Getting her to drop her panties for him.
Sex.
Re: :D
No problem.
What are the police? What does he detect? Agents of chaos? That sounds more like the Dauntless leaders than anything. Are you sure this Ethan guy isn't detecting the Dauntless leaders rather than these Oro people?
[Tris pauses and frowns, looking immediately embarrassed.]
I guess they are part of the factions that touch in public then, huh? Sex isn't really something people should talk aloud about.

I shouldn't even be surprised at this point. And I'm very sure. Are your Dauntless leaders full of metal? Have psionic abilities? Shove metal in their vocal cords so they can be telekinetic with their voices? I don't think they're the same at all. Especially if you're one of these Dauntless people. Since you look like you and I look like me.
Oh you've got to be kidding me.
[He's so close to facepalming. He really really is.]
no subject
No, we're just... people. We are normal with no powers. We just use our character traits for the good of society within the limits of our factions. Or at least we used to.
[Tris looks uncertain and embarrassed.]
I was raised by the Abnegation and even married people don't touch in front of anyone there. What's so wrong with keeping physical displays of affection behind closed doors? Or just not do it to begin with?
[She knows she sounds like a little kid, but it was in her nature of how she was raised. One of her fears was intimacy after all. She barely overcame that one and it was only in simulation rather than reality.]
no subject
You probably don't know what that means either do you? It's the power to move things with your mind. Or in the case of the Oro with their voice.
When I say full of metal I mean 'full of metal.' See?
[He knocks the mask of his face. Other than being a weird shade of grey he looks vaguely normal till he grins. Look at all that metal crap in his jaw. There's more all over him but he's not going to take his shirt off and show it.]
no subject
Well, we're just normal people. You sound like you are superheroes or something. I'm normal.
[When the mask is taken off, Tris is unable to help the near scream that came out of her mouth. Her mouth gaped over, she quickly reached up to cover her mouth and try to conceal any sounds. She was dauntless. She was brave. She couldn't scream even if she couldn't control her terrified, wide-eyed stare.
After starting at the creature for a moment, she finally stepped back and spoke in a hushed, scared whisper.]
That's what you mean by being a... a demon?!
no subject
[He watches her curiously. Dauntless indeed. He's impressed.]
No. This is what I mean by being an Oro. Which I'm not. Like I said. All for show.
