Everyone has moments of self-doubt, but there's no reason for you to shy away from letting me out. Speaking to fellow Jedi, people from the past and future, and even other me's is one of the most enjoyable things about this place. It's fascinating, and I know you enjoy it as well. You've been absent and busy, yes, but you're aiming to fix that. It'll take some time getting back into the swing of things, but you have to give it time, first!

That is fun. If really weird. And sometimes kinda sad.

Um... Sometimes you gotta just do things and if you look stupid, it sucks, but... it happens. Right?

[Obi-Wan gives a small laugh.] It does have a tendency to be weird or sad. Sometimes both.

That's exactly what I've been trying to tell her. I've made a fool of myself plenty of times, but letting it ruin you is the worst thing you can do. But... she'll chin up. Eventually. I think she misses being apart of a big cast of our fandom and feeling like she belongs more than anything. It's translated into her thinking she's doing something wrong with me.

Right! Well, that's never felt good on this end either. I actually kind of know how that goes? I mean, I've never belonged to something for long either. I mean, I try but it always gets awkward and embarrassing. But Biggs always still shows up and talks to me, so - it's okay.

...And I guess my mun's saying she could be like your Biggs if the metaphor doesn't get too stretched, because she doesn't have rich parents, and can't drive or shoot, and she wants you to have more friends than I - hey! I have plenty of friends!

"I remember right, Jedi can smell danger. Your universe isn't a very nice place, from what I hear of it. One of the mun's other pups carries a lightsaber, but she's really upset and doesn't like to talk much anymore."

Really? [That seems surprising to him.] And here I thought you were a popular one. You know, with your mun's passion and knowledge, and your... [Adorableness! No, Obi-Mun, Luke probably wouldn't appreciate being called adorable.] ...enthusiasm and wit.

[Obi-Wan can't help but laugh here.] Well, that certainly got a big smile out of her. She would like me to say that she "adores both of you and that the metaphor is amazing". [He grins a bit at Luke.] I'm sure she meant it in the most loving way possible. And besides, it's quality over quantity, isn't it?

Smelling danger is one way to put it. At any rate, I haven't heard of many worlds that can be considered very nice places. Good and evil conflict wherever we go. I... try to focus on the good things.

Ahhh, well... I was meaning more back home, but in games... yeah, it depends. Never really lasts, y'know? But... well, there's not much to be done about that.

She shrugs. "Shows what I know. And sorry if the phrasing's a little off. I talk with more animals than people, and there are a lot of critters who rely on smell to alert them to trouble."

No, she's not exactly human - not anymore.

"But it's a big job to stand between the bullies of the multiverse and the folk that want to change things for the better. Of course, that's also got its own hazards. Worst case is that you end up unable to understand the folk you're claiming to help and being no better than your enemies."

Ah-- my mistake. I don't know, a little bit of optimism can go a long way.

Is that so? Well, I have no problem further tormenting you with more puns and so-called "bad" jokes if I must to teach you a lesson.

[Because that's what that is, you know. Lessons through puns and corny jokes.]

Really? [Interest: piqued! ...Especially because Qui-Gon would probably really love to hear more about that. Swaying a creature's mind is a lot different than actually speaking to them, after all.] How it you're able to speak to animals? That's an incredible ability.

No, I quite agree. It's easy to become blind. We can think we're doing the right thing all we wish, but the lines between "right" and "wrong" can all too easily become blurred.

I was protesting a lab that was experimenting on animals and being needlessly cruel about it, and trying to dig up enough dirt on them to get the public to know what they were doing behind closed doors. Well, a very powerful man in my world turned out to be behind it, and thought the best way to scare off the activists was to make an example of me - turn me into one of the lab rats. Dunno what all was done, but I came out of it...changed."

"I can speak to most animals. And I have a little bit of shapeshifting." To demonstrate, she turns her hand into a dog's paw and back. "Not as sophisticated as my boyfriend on that front, though."

My mun thinks it's that people get tired of her, because she's self centered like that. I don't think it's that, but... Well, maybe a little? But not personal like that. And it's not like... feeling sorry would help. You know?
