Well it really depends on the year and which humans you ask... I've kind of lost track now, really.

They've called me a god of hunting, music, the arts... But the most popular- and the closest to being accurate- is that I am the embodiment of the Sun.

[ There's a pair of unsettlingly red eyes shamelessly staring at you, Apollo. It may not be the raking or roaming glance of someone with unsavory intentions, but Shino's look of curious fascination is a bit too honest for most to simply shrug off. ]

You sound like Nezumi. Though, he wasn't.. [ Corrects himself. ] He isn't a god.

[The god just raises an eyebrow, staring right back as he floats. Oh, there's actually a decent-looking human around here. Not Ganymede-level, but decent. He crosses his arms.]

[ For most people such abrasive words would be offensive or belittling; and would ultimately be read as an efficient warning to look for polite chitchat elsewhere. Yet in Shion's case such course treatment never had that desired effect upon him, due to some unseen immunity or even simply just a lack of common sense. So in the place of tucking-tail or slinking away in defeat, he instead finds this verbal acknowledgment to be sufficient enough a signal to continue; encouragement, even. ]

It's nice to hear someone with 'that way' of speaking, again. Familiar, even.
But that's normal, to find yourself curious or interested in something or someone that reminds you of a special person.

[ Being the honest individual he is, Shion's reply is completely knee-jerk: He likes the way Apollo sounds. Or be more accurate it's the god's demeanor, echoing through his voice, which draws the youth's whole-hearted interest.

The deceptive nonchalance which veils any care, interest or kindness. An almost frightening fatalistic view of the world and lack of attachments to people. Every ounce of a personality meant to shove others away; tinted with just an ounce of something intangible which barely suggests otherwise. It reminds Shion of a dark, bitter person with so much more beneath the surface and all the memories they made. It's intriguing to encounter that rarity of expression; as no one else has ever reminded him even remotely of such a complex person before.

So he doesn't even hesitate, sharing these thoughts freely without any consideration to the fact that his answer is laughable, at best. ]

[ Only after his initial words does he actually realize the other is floating mid-air, above him, sans any visible wires, traps or assortment of aid. ]

[ Being the sheltered teen that he is, Shion proceeds to try and 'feel' the space below Apollo; sending himself into further awe as his speculations over the successful hovering are met with proof. All of a sudden- the little bookworm can't resist the urge to babble on over just how blown his mind is over someone accomplishing something this supernatural. ]

According to every physics text I've read, it should be entirely impossible for someone composed of solid mass to sustain levitation. Even a feather or soap bubble elevated by wind-force or propulsion eventually is pulled downwards under the effects of gravity. But you- You're defying gravity!

[ He may hurt himself if this continues. ]

... Right. [Apollo mumbled slowly, just staring him down with iridescent eyes. This one certainly gave him unusual reactions compared to any of the other mortals he had met... He wasn't like Iris or Ganymede at all. It was strangely uncomfortable to be watched like that. But he tossed some hair out of his face, waving a hand.]

Of course I'm not falling, you idiot! Didn't I say I was a god? Shouldn't god be able to do even this much? Hey- Just what are you doing?! [He demanded with a frown, pulling up his legs a little as Shion probed around near him. Seriously, what was wrong with humans nowadays! They just got weirder and weirder...]

Hmph. Of course I'm amazing. Can't whatever god you believe in float?
