You know, I'm not sure how to feel about this. I liked being left alone in a peaceful little corner, and, well, these circumstances - just because you finished that book again -
I don't know why I'm arguing with you, really, it does just as much good as arguing with Sirius or James.
Still, at least you aren't trying to send me anywhere again. I remember the last time you tried that. Making me wear a wolf mask wasn't exactly subtle, was it? I don't know how the rest of this lot up here put up with it.
Anyway, I've got quite enough on my plate without you interfering with my life, thanks. Please, just let me be, and go back to reading your books.

[Remus, stop sounding like you're regurgitating a textbook.]
Though I suppose it can't be worse than being in the middle of a war at home - at least she claims to like me, which is more than can be said for most of wizarding society.

You are and you know it. It's one of the few constants in my life, like Peter's twitching or James getting his head stuck in places it doesn't belong.
How bad can their whims be?

Her whims usually aren't so bad. Your whims are the ones I worry about, Padfoot.

Excuse you, my whims have brought you some of the greatest fun you've ever had in your life. [And by 'fun', he most likely means 'stress headaches'] Honestly, Moonpie, where would you be without my whims?

[.......Moonpie?] Sorely lacking in both near-death experiences and detentions.

When's the last time I needed to open anything fifty years old? Remus, look, I know you have all sorts of sordid love triangles with your novels, but that doesn't mean I think they're half as fun to thumb around in.
[Oh, he has loads of nicknames. It's terrible.] Boring, in other words. Your life would be boring.

I think I would be crushed if the books ever started cheating on me with you, anyway. They're the one constant I can rely upon.
[He has absolutely no idea where Sirius gets all these nicknames from...and he's not sure he wants to know.] From your point of view, yes. Other people might call it peaceful. [You know he likes it, really.]

I'd never dream of taking your dusty lovers from you, Moony. I'd never be able able to live with myself if I did.
[You really, really don't, Remus. Nightmares would ensue.] If you wanted peace so badly, you would've told us all to shove off by third year.
