I'm sorry that you don't believe it. That you think bringing me here might be a lost cause.
But, I know that person. Who he really is, deep down inside. No matter how much time passes- we won't forget about eachother. We'll remember, and find one another in the end. That's what you do when someone's important; maybe more than most.
Whatever happens, I know I'll see him again!

AND NOW IT'S 1 AND I HAVE CLASS IN 6 HOURS cries
I hope you got enough rest!
[ His annoyance towards the earlier conversation melts away, in light of such easy praise and it's company. ]
Anyone would fight for something they want. Or even, to be reunited with someone who's important to them.
I'm sure you'd do the same.
i'm good, thanks for asking \ o / [1/2]

I let him to go, to begin with. And waited this long.
So it's not like I can't say I also didn't have the-
[ Heart? Strength? Courage? He changes the sentence's wording to more appropriately describe what happened. ]
I couldn't give up everything else and just stay by his side. There were still people that needed me, in another place. And Nezumi felt like I'd always choose them over him- when I shouldn't have let him feel that way. Like he was second-best to anything.
[ Yes, Shion couldn't have abandoned his family. But, somehow- he wishes Nezumi could have been made a part of it. Maybe if things could have been done differently, sooner. ]
I've made mistakes too. People do, even when they want something badly.
So, don't think others are perfect in their resolve and you aren't. Until you're in such situations, you can't ever know how you'll act.
Sometimes we surprise ourselves.
icons pls.
[ He's quiet for a couple of seconds then, before speaking up again.] Thanks. For, well, you know.

Maybe I should be the one thanking you.
I didn't expect to get so many warm words after doing nothing but lecture my writer.
They were more than I had hoped to hear. But I'm thankful for everything you've said.

But keep an eye out for 'Nezumi', was it? The world can be pretty small sometimes, I wouldn't be surprised if you ran into him again sometime soon.

For helping me feel more at ease with all this- Thank you, again.
And I'll keep looking. He's not someone I could ever willingly give up trying to find.
[ It may not be Shino's place but, he can't help but wish the other well after all this. ]
I hope you come to feel more confident with your own heart, too.
In the process, maybe you'll find something that is worth waiting for.
[ Despite the quip, there's still a nagging impression that he hasn't done much for the other man. In fact- they'd not even exchanged names. ]
Ah! I almost forgot. I'm Shino, by the way. [ His hand is outstretched, and a handshake is offered. ]

It's nothing, you don't need to thank me for something anyone could do.
[Despite the embrassement, he seems to be pretty happy with what the albino boy is thanking him. It's a small matter, but it's a wam, genuine gesture.
Then he realizes that it's his turn to introduce himself. The wide smile grows smaller but no less happier as he grips Shino's hand.]

Anyone else might have been able to, but you're the one who spoke to me. Encouraged me.
[ That fractional difference in the others expression doesn't go unnoticed, but he's already pressed so much. How would Shino even ask if the name bothered him? Instead, he gently squeezes the hand in his before letting the handshake politely come to an end. Hopefully- whatever this man is going through, he'll feel less alone in knowing that he was appreciated. ]
Kazuya, I'm glad to have met you.

[His face looks almost serious for a moment to match the almost formal tone of the word. The serious look, however, only fades after a second as the smile spread across his face again and his body relaxes into something that's more like him.
To be honest, I didn't think I'd find a friend before my mundane threw me into a game. [ Maybe friend is the wrong word, but acquaintance seems too cold for this situation and Shino is more than an acquaintance. They had shared worries, after all.]

[ Shion's understandably taken aback over being addressed by a creature that surely shouldn't exist. Strange animals coming out of nowhere- that's not boded entirely well for him; so this does earn a bit of tensing on his part. Still. This wasn't a bee. ]
Yes. I- [ He fumbles over what to say. ]

[ That initial apprehension is gone, soon as he thinks that maybe there's a reason this creature came out of nowhere, now of all times. So he crouches down to it's level, in hopes that their conversation might help find the person he's looking for. ]
He's taller than me, with long, dark hair that he keeps up with a band. You'd think he look- aloof, or cold, because he's somewhat standoffish. But. In reality, he's risked his life to save mine so many times- and taught me how to live. To find out who I am, and to be myself.
He's the kindest person I've ever met.
Even if it's a different sort of 'kind' than most people think. He's the brave and selfless sort, who gives you the shirt off his back if you need it.

I didn't know it, but I really needed to hear that.
[ Hopefully she won't take offense to being treated like, well- a house pet. Because it's rather difficult, considering all his time with domestic animals, to not reflectively scratch around her ears. ]
You're right, Hummy. He's out there someplace.
I can't begin to doubt that yet, when I haven't even been here long enough to say I've looked everywhere in this world.

[ For a moment Shion's too taken aback by the words themselves to register that they were sung, backed by instrument. Once there's a second to process that as well- it's pretty odd, come to think of it. Maybe even a little mocking, to sing about someone's worst life experience so casually like that.
Shion's a rather forgiving person, however. So whatever the reason, he'll give the other a chance to explain; blinking owlishly at their behavior in the meantime. ]
