I remember 'appier times.

[Maybe even pretending the Time War never happened - that he hadn't committed genocide three times over at least (The Daleks, Time Lords and TARDIS.) He looks over at her.]

E-Space is in the Negative coordinates.

[He sighs. Rose wasn't great at Maths, unless she was. So, he draws a picture for her.]

N-space, where we're from originally is in Quadrant I and E-Space is in quadrant III.

It's not quite the same as a parallel universe, cause in theory, even parallel universes can have an E-space component.
